Wow! I finally and accidently found some young black folks Lindy Hoppin, can't wait to show my 9 year old grand daughter who loves the Lindy Hoppers.

Glad to see young black dancers do this classic dance form. Hopefully more people will embrace these dances again. Not sure why it is still so popular on white college campuses and communities, but not in the black community. Such a fun dance to watch.

I love the video. The percussion reminds me of MVSU's drumline in 1976. I played single sided bass drum. The exact same bongo beat was a constant throughout all our cadence's. We had a Latin flavor that included timbales, conga drums, cowbell, maracas, tambourine etc. No band or drumline could fade us in the SWAC.

Lindy hop feels like the freedom dance, the just letting go and letting your body move part breaking all inhibitions is my favourite part. Not to mention the cardio workout you get from it.

Since we created the dance, I would love to see our people do Lindy Hop again. There has to be some young and older people willing to make Lindy Hop trend in the Black community.

they're part of the Guardian Baltimore program; the woman with short hair is Leah (an instructor) and the shorter boy who starts out stage right is Tyler. I don't know the others' names, but they're around the Baltimore area and seeing them perform is always amazing

As an add-on, Lindy hop, or swing dances in general have as many techniques as we have dancers. It's not about the counterbalance (even though that is a great technique with great style advantages to it) but about having the attitude, swingin' your rhythm and being expressive, so for me, these young dancers are awesome 'lindy hoppers'. Love it!
