@friskerbizkit Good question. The SU white ink is a pigment ink. So I think any pigment ink would work. Have fun!

Great video...love the closeups. I liked it w/o the twist!

Hi! Great video!! I like how you were able to zoom in without shaking the camera a lot. I see a lot of that and I get dizzy watching. haha. Anyhow, I know you used SU whisper white ink, but do you know if this can be done with the marth stewart pigment ink pads? Thanks!

That's a good question. I don't have "regular" colored pencils. You certainly could give them a try. But if I was to guess - the watercolor pencil is a "softer" pencil, yet more vibrant color, that I think will give a much better result.

@dostamping Ok great!! Thank you for replying. :) I will do it tonight and see how it turns out! I'm SUPER excited to try this :D I will finally be able to put my prisma colored pencils to work! I have only used them twice since I bought them...a year ago! haha. Thanks for a great tut!

i have bought several whitel gel pens and have never had any luck with them. What brand of white gel pen did you use?. It looks so vibrant.

@littledott1943 Pam - that was from the Groom Specialty DSP from Stampin' up! However, if just retired.

You didn't use any water with your watercolor pencils, why then not just use colored pencils? Curious. Louella

Hi Patti - All of my videos are done using Stampin' Up! products. This particular video was done using the stamp set, Vintage Vogue, which is retired and no longer available from Stampin' Up!. You might want to check either eBay or Craigs List to see if you can find a retired set someone is selling. Hope this helps!

@mariahub Stampin' Up! carries an awesome one! It's called uni-ball Signo Gel Pen. The link to my Stampin' Up! online store is above in the video description. Thanks!

Stampin' Up! no longer carries the watercolor pencils. You might be able to find them in a local craft store.

Do watercolor pencils crayons work better on this technique than regular pencil crayons? I need to press fairly heavily to go over the white ink and you seem to only be going lightly? Thank you
@dostamping8 жыл бұрын
I'v never tried it with the crayons. You could give it a try to compare.
@deborahanne97938 жыл бұрын
I just tried it with my tombow water based markers and it worked beautifully. It takes much less pressure to color over the white with the markers. Happy crafting!

Thank you for the video, yes, I have fibromyalgia and not alot of strength some days in my upper body so the markers will work well for me with this technique. If you know anyone else with this condition, please pass this on.

Did you do the black background of the card, the gold swirl background by yourself? What is it called?
@frkbogstad10 жыл бұрын
I don't like the white dots, but the image itself and the pink/green is georgeous ;)
@sacorivergraphics10 жыл бұрын
I agree, too many white dots and I think the image would look more refined if you were more careful with keeping the pencil on the white, even though it's black paper you can still see the pencil marks really well. Maybe going over it in black after you were done might help ;-)

That's interesting. When you were up close it looked all sorts of blobby and I wasn't going to try it, but once you pulled out, it looked great. Close ups sometimes are not the coolest.

Ok, I'm confused. I'm new at this stuff but wonder why it's called black magic? I thought maybe it would be black paper with black glitter or black embossing powder to give it a tone on tone effect.
@dostamping10 жыл бұрын
That's a good question Cathy. I'm assuming someone coined the term. Maybe it's the way the color pops off the black.
