I am 82 with 6 guitars, retired 2012 after working 50 yrs, really trying to catch up, very impressed with Joe Robinson's teaching his guitar skills to all of us, I watch many you tube videos of his, learning a lot of fretboard skills. Been watching for years, Joe is just getting better & better and a great teacher. This young Lad is the "Real Deal". My 75-inch flat-panel Samsung + you tube and playing by ear has make a big difference and my thumb is getting better on the e-string. I am actually hearing the notes. Back in the 60's bought a Sears Robuck guitar, teenage life took over, Cars/Girlfriends/Parting/Air Force/Chicago work years/more, but I have always loved the guitar. Thanks Joe you are my mentor young man, keep it going, you're becoming a master teacher now and always learning and putting out new songs with new skills.

I was listening half heartedly to the intro thinking it was going to be just a luke warm instrumental....and then... you started singing and lordy I was hooked. So glad that you included the vocals, it really worked for me. And lo and behold you then notched it up yet another gear making that guitar bleed from its soul, man this thing really got under my skin, spellbinding and intoxicating! What a way to start 2023, thank you Joe. 🔥😍🔥😍

😲 I had to write something on your post. I have been playing guitar for almost 55 years and the last thirty years strictly gypsy jazz. But when I heard BLACK MAGIC WOMAN by Santana the first time it was the catapult that gave me motivation not to give up and I dreamed as a child that one day I would play like Santana. But, your rendition of that old classic not only did it go above and beyond it also woke up in me my love for the good old electric guitar. You are a very gifted guitar player. Thank you for a wonderful version….

In verse two, your micro homage to Wes Montgumery was just flat amazing...soloing over these changes was a master class in this genre...the chickin' pickin' wah late in the tune was also wonderful. This is such an amazing cover. I even prefer it to the original. You gave this cover your own touch without changing the original vibe and feel. When the two guitars play in unison at 0:23 is just heavenly. Your recording quality is exceptional, your singing is smooth and beautiful, the lick at 1:31 gives me the chills, the Tele sounds absolutely stunning, your playing is world-class. I think this is one of the best covers ever recorded. Thank you so much. I am excited for a lifetime of music that I can enjoy in your career. Never stop playing.
