I'm on the West Side of Chicago- North Lawndale neighborhood to be exact, which was a 100% Jewish neighborhood for many years till black people came to Chicago. Us Black folks need to understand that probably 90% of the inner-city neighborhoods we live in now across the US were Jewish hoods before we came. We share the same history of struggle and resilience, and I hope people show respect to the Jews that created and built the neighborhoods we now live in all over the USA.

You also asked a lot of great questions that led Rabbi Katz to concise and thorough responses. I think you could develop your content by emphasizing your ability to be a good interviewer; part of which is coming prepared with some background information about the culture, which you did with Judiasm. Best of luck with the growth of your channel 👍

I think it is great that you came to a synagogue, and I could say that you, and everybody is always welcome at synagogue (regardless of race, gender, or any other characteristic aside from being a terrorist). Being Jewish, I have had some amazing experiences attending and actually performing on the violin for many wonderful congregations of predominately black churches. Just great people and some who had incredible talent. When I was young and the Arab nations were waging war with Israel, my congregation hosted Arab people, as often the vast bulk of people, are good people who don't desire war or conflict. As you are aware there is an incredibly long standing community for millennia of Ethiopian Jews and other Jews who are black or of color in Northern Africa. I really like it that you seek out other cultures to learn and share. You are truly an outstanding young man....who always has an invitation and never needs to "sneak" into a synagogue. Sometimes I have snuck in without a Yom Kippur ticket, but that's a different story!

@@mrcloud9750 ....You truly are triggered by hate and anti-Semitism to put up such a statement on a video of unity, for which a young black man visited a Jewish synagogue and interacted with those of a different culture and one of the world's oldest religions. You truly have some huge issues of stupidity and bias to claim that less than 2/10ths of 1% of the world's population "run the world". There are 195 countries in the world, for which Israel is the only Jewish majority nation, and for which only two leaders of 195 countries are Jewish. Now, the Jewish people are incredibly amazing, as that less than 2/10ths of 1% of the population has won about 34% of the Nobel Prizes. The medical and computer technology developed by Jewish people has not only provided many vaccines, antibiotics, and cancer treatments, but has factored into saving or prolonging the lives of 2.7 billion people, per an article that I read. There is no question that the Jewish people are amazing by winning about 168 times more Nobel Prizes than one would think of for their small population. However, whoever the F you are, take your anti-Semitism and hate elsewhere. On this beautiful post of a young black man taking the initiative to learn of another religion, and of people coming together with respect and consideration for different cultures, jackasses like you make the world a worse place with your ignorance, hate, and intolerance. Now, go get two bags of ice, one for each cheek, as I just kicked your ass really hard with facts.

@@mrcloud9750 ....You made an anti-Semitic remark, and you don't have the fucking guts to call me a Nazi to my face, as the Nazis murdered 11 in my family and my 98 year old father served in WWII. Your remark was horrific, and disgraceful for a Jewish person
@randylazer28942 жыл бұрын
@UCTScMh9ExoXINNKfTBztiMQ .....Particularly for being Jewish, your behavior is appalling to make an anti-Semitic statement of Jews controlling the world, on this post of unity. I had written a beautiful comment praising this fine young man who took the initiative to meet Jewish people and visit a synagogue and have a wonderful cultural exchange. Then you make an anti-Semitic comment that Jews control the world, which has no place on this video of unity. Then for my pointing out those facts, you lied and stated that I am harassing you, when you made an anti-Semitic and false remark. Then you act like a fucking hypocrite and make a harassing and hateful remark to me of calling me a Nazi, when you made an anti-Semitic remark, and the Nazis murdered 11 in my family, and my 98 year old dad served in WWII fighting the Nazis? You are an ignorant, disgrace of a Jewish person, for which the last thing the Jewish people need are other Jews making anti-Semitic statements. If you want to call me Nazi, then get off your lazy ass and say it to my face instead of acting like a coward while hiding behind a computer. The Nazis promoted the Jewish people controlling the world, so you shouldn't make statements they would support.
@randylazer28942 жыл бұрын
Take away a life lesson.....there is a staggering amount of anti-Semitism, so with you being Jewish and making an anti-Semitic remark, that is disgraceful, and of absolute hypocrisy. Your anti-Semitic remark is what neo-Nazis and white supremacists and anti-Semites throughout the world repeat, so it is you who aligned with those people, and not me. It was you who was acting like the Nazi, and then with profound stupidity called me a Nazi, when I stood against your Nazi-like remark. Being Jewish you should not ever make an anti-Semitic remark, and when you are wrong, you should admit your errors. You should apologize for calling me a Nazi, when the Nazis murdered 11 in my family and my 98 year old father served in WWII standing against the Nazis. Try not being a coward, and admit your errors and apologize for being wrong. That is in the Jewish tradition, as opposed to your absolutely disgusting behavior that disgraces yourself. It is bad enough with all of the hate, the murders of Jews in synagogues from anti-Semites, to have a Jewish person making those remarks, and then falsely accusing another Jew of being a Nazi. You need to do a lot better with yourself. Grow up, stop being a coward, admit your errors, and do better with yourself.
THIS IS AWESKMEI NEVER SEEN ANYTHING LIKE THIS IN THE WORD. JEWISH PEOPLE ARE SO LOVING WHAT A JOY FRANKIE TO SHOW US WHATS HAPPENING DURING 8VDAY OF SHUKKOT OR TABERNACLE. I AM BLESSED WITH TEARS OF JOY BACK HERE IN MY HOME IN PAPUA NEWGUINEA.
You are breaking so many barriers. You are really humble and kind and that draws people in. Keep up the good work. This was so interesting. May God continue to bless you, give favor and open every door and window on your behalf......

Always loads of fun to meet folks from other cultures, especially during holiday times and getting to have fun! The Hasidim, like many other communities, are great people. I'm lucky that my family's got Italian, Jewish, Philpino, German, black, and Palestinians. Everyone sort of congregates around Christmas and the food is amazing and so is the love and fun and dancing. We start with bagels and lox and hot cocoa, moving on to Philipino sushi then lasgna and Arabic food followed by turkey. Great video and my experience living in New York!
