Personally, when I hear men protecting women conversations I’m looking at it from an upbringing standpoint. I was raised in the hood. But my father protected me from the likes of it. If I needed to go to the store, he was present. If he seen men standing outside a place doing God knows what, he came out the car to make sure I was good. He had very strict rules. I went to school and came home. He didn’t bring random women home as my mom passed when I was 8. He protected me in every way possible for me to grow in my femininity. However, a lot of women nowadays don’t understand that it’s not similar to putting your man in jeopardy and wanting them to fight for you aka “protect you”. Especially with the nonsense some cause.
