All of this is hitting home. I have attempted suicide before as a grown man and as a teen. Still dealing with it at 41. Just had a break down at work about a week ago. It feel like im surrounded by people who dont understand me or my situation. Its hard to deal with after its been so long and more just keeps piling on. It feels like im stuck at the bottom of a bottomless pit.

I clicked on this video so fast. I’m going through a bad depression right now. I go through a lot of highs and lows and it’s really hard. I overthink a lot. I’m sad a lot. Words of encouragement barely do anything. I just want a reset. I don’t wanna do anything. I’m barely eating. My laughs are temporary. My mental health has been shot since like July and gotten worse in August. It looked like it was taking a change for the much much better in September but due to a breakup it’s shot down again. I know this isn’t forever. I know good things are ahead. I try to think of the bright side alot. I’m just sad alot. I love you all and anyone else going through this or something much worse I love you all too.

It May be a good idea to go to one of those isolation tanks and I think it's the one with Epson salt where you float and it's quiet. Maybe that could help you reset. I know it's so hard and I'm so sorry you are going through this. Sending you lots of prayers and warm hugs that you find your way. And being able to express yourself will help you as well to reset.

Each one of you brought something valuable to this conversation, and collectively. I know we can help heal each other through these struggles with these techniques. As a Christian and a psychiatrist AND someone who’s been diagnosed w/ depression and anxiety & take meds, I’ve found that medications + therapy + spiritual practices + exercise/eating properly helps! Medication is often an important part of treatment and there should be no shame in that. Stigma re: meds is closely tied to the rising suicide rates in our communities….

Attitude is altitude and we need to alleviate the anger and self-loathing we have that becomes contagious to everyone we come in contact with. We shouldn't believe any person that needs air and water like we do can dictate our future as well as our ability to remain positive through all our struggles.
@jamonit9479

Almost everything is about race bc of white supremacy. If you don't understand that you don't understand the major issues in the black community. We have been miseducated to hate ourselves and it does start with who you chose to date and marry. Why would you want to integrate into a system of lies against your people? That is psychology unhealthy. We should be working towards self determination. You will have to challenge black inferiority concepts taught by this American system. That will affect who you chose to date and marry.

@@jamonit9479 It starts from within what I'm hearing is a complete and utter cop out and blaming the" white man for all of the problems in the black community today. The black community in America is in a much, much better place than it was 50 to 60 years ago and it takes progress and it takes time, but we can't act and ignore that. We are not in this world with others of a different race. We cannot act like and ignore that we each other are right now in my opinion. The ones that are holding each other back. How many times are we going to make the excuse of the white man!!!
@flyguy7825
@flyguy7825 Жыл бұрын
@@Manny-nm8dh I agree but it also starts with each other. We got to stop blaming the quote white man for all of our problems right now. When are we going to rise above and stop pointing the fingers at each other and stop trying to police each other and stop calling out our racing heritage?
@jamonit9479
@jamonit9479 Жыл бұрын
@@flyguy7825 The fact that you even have to say 'a better place' proves my point. Why should we have to keep fighting white people to treat us like human beings? Things are better for black people bc we had to fight. Never has this country did anything from a moral standpoint. I'm all about self determination which means creating your own kingdom and leaving this devil place alone.
