I'd say these piano videos put Black Metal songs into a different darkness. With all of the 'noise' and distortion removed, you get to really hear and experience the dark, melancholic, eerie and even beautiful sounds and melodies of the genre. Not that you can't with the 'noise' and distortion of course.

You should listen to a band called Nachtreich, it's a black metal Duo that mixes black metal with neoclassical music, purely instrumental.

I have to agree with you on this. There’s a lot going on in these songs and without the distortion it gives a clearer picture of the song and it’s almost like you gain a new understanding and feeling for them.

I have trouble getting to sleep and have always listened to black metal when i'm really struggling, but it's not exactly the best music to fall asleep to. Enter all of my favorite songs played on a soothing piano that sends me off to sleep with no problems!
