This is a crazy situation. Mother is in wrong. When my son started dating I just told him, I don’t care about nationality and colour, I do care if she is educated. He is and so is she. Loving home not a house, good loving parents and very respectful to each other. I am happy and very proud of both. I text him every morning and we talk on the weekends. I wasn’t allowed to date my first love, 45 years ago,bc of religion, left the Country, I still love that man and we keep in touch. I been divorced for about 38 years. I’ll never forget my first love.
@deborahjeanne21412 жыл бұрын
@Lillian Srakovcic - I was 17 the first time I saw him and it was love at first sight for the both of us. He was 18. Once his parents discovered he was seeing an Italian, he was forbidden to see me. (He’s German). We were together 4 years until the day they caught us together. She pulled me out of the car saying, “you black bastard, dirty Guinea, stay away from my son.” He just sat there. I broke up with him, but never forgot him. Fifty-five years later we reconnected, neither of us ever married although he is in a relationship. I know he still cares about me, but I won’t sneak around for another woman like I did because of his mother. I never stopped loving him, and I mourn the life we lost and the babies we never had because of his racist mother. And so many decades later, not a damn thing has changed. How sad for us….

Despite it being rare for a White woman and a black man living together out of wedlock in a all white area, it was frowned upon but they stayed together and finally married. Strength and love kept them together. My Dad said he never experienced racism because all he could see was the gift he got and that was my mother. Watching this made me feel sad that anyone on this planet feels they have the right to label someone because of the colour of their skin. Watching this made me so sad and I cried because it made me think of Martin Luther Kings' work towards peace and acceptance between black and white people. It's as if his life was all for nothing. I have a beautiful, precious niece-in-law that is of black Pacific Island heritage. She and my white nephew have two of the most beautiful sons I have ever seen. My entire family absolutely love and adore our niece-in-law. My parents raised us to not see the color of a mans'/womans' skin until we knew their heart and mind. God made us all the same inside, then he made us all 'different' by giving us different skin colors. Please, let there be peace, love, and understanding.

Why does colour matter?its the person that you love.
@adandefletcher16125 жыл бұрын
In America, and world wide color matters. It would be a phenomenon if it hadn't already been prophesied in the bible. Some people are hateful and very wicked, wished it was different.

I'm a white australian and when my mum was growing up in 40s she was told not to hang around the aborigines, so glad she didn't listen because my nephews and nieces and grandchildren are aboriginal and I am so blessed to have them as my family. Love who you want no matter what race wouldn't change my family for anyone.

T. Thomas not true. At all. Both my parents were born in the 1950’s, they’re both military and we were never raised to stay away from any race. In fact m brothers dated different races and my best friend is white and my mother is best friends with her mother.
