I grew up on this stuff. Hip-hop was not the same after 2000 sadly. And I was still a teenager in the 2000s. But the thing was becoming more and more commercial. That early 90s to 2000 East Coast sound is flawless.

I had this record i bought it 1995 at a Record Shop on a place in Louisville,kentucky called Ear-x-Tacy it does not exist anymore,due to the internet,but i was lucky to be a part of the last of a dying generation of kids who started out on vinyl,there was and still is sumthing about the way it smelled sounded,and was bought,this in particular was a 12' single that sold for an astonishing.9.99..and in 1994-1996 that was a lot of cash for three tracks but my kid destroyed my copy so thanks
