I'm back for a 2cnd comment, I'm listening to the one playing live now, but I can't comment on it, these are absolutely insane, I can't put to words how rad these are, thank you, takes the stress away.

Really emphasizes the overall tonal shift from your main channel. I'd argue the bleak style, muted colors and simplistic designs have a mid-1960s avant-garde appearance. Backgrounds of animated films devoid of characters; ambiance without life. Your main channel maybe monstrous and discordant, but Ghost Failure is a study of profound emptiness. I really appreciate how these visuals support the theme without being garish and overworked.

Thank you. This is exactly the feedback I was looking for. The images were heavily influenced by certain Surrealist painters (Ernst, Tanguy, Matta) along with VHS documentaries I'd watch as a kid, often which just had a narrator and still images. I will have different styles of images eventually but I plan to keep up with the emptiness & mix of Surrealism & abstract expressionism.

I do not know what this is or how I stumbled about it, but I find it oddly relaxing and nostalgic.

This is hauntingly beautiful - I get vibes from Max Ernst's painting "The Entire City". I say it first back in my senior year of high school and it made a lasting impression. And this is the perfect auditory tapestry for that kind of imagery. Instant fan over here!

Thank you! Yes, Max Ernst is a big influence on the imagery here. I used to obsessively get books on Surrealism from the library back in the late 90s and I'd get lost in the imagery. Max Ernst is one of my favs out of the Surrealists in general. It's all a big influence on my sound.

Wow, very nice! I love how it gives off a calming yet eerie vibe at the same time. I feel like I'd hear this in a place that feels like a dream, yet it isn't. Love your work man, keep it up!! :)

Wow… this is almost entrancing. Decided to check this channel out a bit more after you described it a little bit during the new stream, these visuals are amazing! Abstract art has always been difficult for me to appreciate, but with the audio it makes me feel something very hard to describe. Can’t quite put it into words… it’s almost a sad feeling. Great stuff though!

Thanks! The art style in particular is based on Max Ernst's work. He did a lot of different styles but I especially like how he did the more naturalistic parts of his scenes. This sort of vibe tries to mix that with a VHS tape documentary feel (the ones where it was just a British guy narrating over still images... very popular low budget style in the 80s & early 90s).

@@ghostfailure999 I looked up some of his stuff, I love it! Stumbled on his piece "The Entire City" while looking him up, I love the really simplistic "sun", just the bold yellow circle, it's what stood out to me most in the images on this video. Would you happen to know the name for the very first track in this video, too? From the start to about 14:55

@@SpookyAqua yes, Max Ernst has some truly amazing stuff. I wish I lived in his paintings. The first track is Black Mountain Midnight. It's on my Ghost Failure bandcamp.
