This bit of chicken crap strategy of hitting and retreating helped me learn a key mechanic and (also realizing the 6th phase of Erlang is 'CANNED' allowed me to beat this boss finally. I thank the OP for this. I don't play canned games, so i had been at a disadvantage.

This version of Erlang is worse than the first. The first guys was touch. This guys is so boring. All about endurance.
