This worked surprisingly well (given my mediocre skills) after I learned to dodge his attacks instead of just spamming the button, and most importantly, by focusing on that rather than letting the frustration from many of the game's battles overwhelm me. Once again, you provide a SOLID strategy! I went back to farm the Thunder Flame Seal. Within this process, I changed my gourd. After retrieving the Thunder Flame Seal, I returned to fight Black Myth. Holy crap, that last phase Strat was beautiful!! Got him second attempt after FAR too many previous ones. I love that this game lets you so readily 're-spec' to accommodate for all factors... of course I forget and often don't know what to 're-spec' to. Easily earned sub!

Just beat it tonight :) I was never one to use cloud step and ring of fire. I preferred for the whole game really, to immobilize and counter with the rock, both of which allowed me to get back some mana. This final boss wouldn’t immobilize and countering didnt leave much of an offensive opening. This build was excellent . Thanks homie!

Thank you. 17:52 It is avoidable to me. When he turns around like that right after that attack, that’s when he’s trying to inmovilice you. Just don’t use you healing when he’s doing that. Its like they know we were going to try to use a healing right after that attack. I also add the item that makes your spells charge up again faster. I think for the people that have an extra slot(3) should add that item that’s makes your spells charge faster, it made it a lot easier to me.

Fun fact you totally can dodge that move where he steals your gourd. You just have to watch his hand every time you go to sip and if you see him react spam your roll and he'll miss his freeze on you
