If you are on NG plus, use your life strand and azure dome (stone monkey) this will revive your transformation as well as yourself. On top of that pop a pill (reimigration) after the first revive of your transformation will give you another revive (total 4 lives) plus. You will need this to extend your life and your chance of beating him on NG PLUS. I’ve just discovered this when I beat him on NG plus. I’m doing NG ++ now.

Sure, one still needs to properly know and learn his moveset and patterns, as well as being almost perfect at dodging, but your method is undoubtedly the most efficient amongst the several I have seen online and tried out, and the only one that allows some mistakes .Top! Thanks for the guide. It really is the key to this fight on your first playthrough and adding Tiger pellets and Evil Repelling certainly is crucial too. Using maxed out pluck of many will do more harm than good because of how much it drains your mana and you will only have a few cloud steps available after that. I see some youtubers having 4 pluck of many available during the fight which i assume is NG+ upgrade and don't really work for us on our first playthrough.

Great guide as usual. I've beaten this dude twice already and he gives me way more issues than erlang for w.e reason. I went back in ng+ and beat erlang without the fan and he still felt easier. This dude just has my number lol

Thank you! Really appreciate the feedback. I personally find Erlang a little bit harder in normal playthrough because you have limited gears. However in NG+ , once you have gotten full Bull King's armor, the fight becomes a no brainer until you reach NG3/4.

Loved your build man . Thanks . Helped alot However my charged attack damage was not as high as yours . So i went back to the coconut wine . Since i had enough mana and cloud step cost is reduced so i don't need to recharge my mana . I fought him and used cloud step but also fought him as my dodging was powerful enough Cloud step helped me alot for healing so i was not victim of his gourd stealing move. Defeated him on my 11th try . Just avoid hitting him alot when he has finished a combi attack . He uses iron body and uses grab

Build 2 did it for me. I was healing like crazy every time i went blow 30% health. switched junbang with the staff with 25% critical chance since it also gives you extra health on heavy attacks. beat him on the first try after spending over 4 hours in NG+2. those health soaks really helped too. thanks! EDIT: Another thing that helped me was that you can simply dodge by pressing circle, no need to dodge plus use the stick to aim for a direction. just dodge and the game will dodge for you.
