Hey delirious. Hope you see this comment. This chapter 4 is probably the best chapter in term of story telling. Your pig friend, Zhu Bajie, used to be a Fleet Admiral of the Celestial Force. He fell in love with a goddess and when chasing after her (as you seen in the animation at the end), he bumped into a maid, who fell in love with him. Turn out, that goddess had an affair with the Jade Emperor, and Bajie caught them there, so the Emperor banished him to the mortal world and turned him into a pig. There, he met and married someone else looked like the maid he met in the heaven, thinking he found the love of his life. However, she disgusted with his true form, so he had to run away with his heart broken. In the wilderness, he encounteres a group of spider yaoguai, and the youngest one is the incarnation of the heaven maid that he was looking for. Turn out, the maid chased after him to the mortal world after hearing he was banished there and became a spider. They lived happily for a while and had some children (as you encountered them in the game). Unfortunately, the journey to the west started, Sun Wukong and the group arrived and destroyed the spider nest, only Baije wife was spared. It is his destiny to follow them to the west, so he departed and left the spider wife behind to fend for herself. In order to survive and raise their children, she had to eat the remaining of her sisters As the story go on, you would learned that everything was destined and Bajie had no choice for what he did. Bajie and the rest of the Journey to the west crews were forced to follow the footsteps the Gods have laid out for them. After the journey finished, everyone thought they could go back to their normal life and return home. However, the Gods made them to SERVE the celestial court. That js why Sun Wukong rebelled in the beginning of the game and got killed. Bajie, on the other hand, had his memory erased (don't know by who, but probably by the Gods to make him serve them or by himself to protect his family). That is why he forgot about his love with the spider (the reincarnation of the heaven maid), he only remembered he fought and destroyed their nest because they were "yaoguai" that were in the ways of reaching the west. In the game, when the mirror reached Bajie after you defeated him, it showed him his true memories and he remembered everything now. When you defeated the last boss, the spider said to Bajie "you haven't changed a bit, you fool..." It was actually a very very bad translation. She didn't curse him, she was saying it with love.. it should be "naive". She meant that after all these years, he is still a naive pig, a naive Admiral that she loved. All the girls there were his children but there is a reason he couldn't accept them. It would be a big spoiler for chapter 5, so I would stop here and will be back again when you finish it.

I don't think Bajie's memory was erased. I think he just pretends to not care about his family bcs the Heaven would hunt them down the same as they threatened Wukong's people. And iirc, Bajie was promised by heaven after the journey, they would fix his curse. But somehow as we seen he was stuck inside the giant bowl

I agree. It's over a ten for me too. I think this game is beautiful and well made. The references for Journey to the West is so amazing and 100% true to the novel. The book was written in 1592, yet it still is as exciting as it was then. The characters except for a few tweeks, are exactly in the book. It was polished at release and is so smooth for me. I am older than you Delirious. Not only myself, but my granddaughter is playing. I love, love, love this game. Thank you for making a series out of it. I also love the fact that no profanity or anything else was in the game. Just lore. For me it's a beautiful game. I did Chinese with English sub titles. I actually think the voice acting is superb. Fun fact: They used the original voice actor and music from Journey To the West live action show in China years ago. Pretty cool right? Take care y'all and much love... 🙏🙏✌✌🐉🐉💖💖

So yeah, the little spider girl is Zhu Bajie's daughter bcs you can see her ears shaped like a pig. The reason Zhu Bajie push his family away is bcs he doesn't want Heaven to know he has a family or they'll hunt his daughter and her mother. Another thing about him, he is cursed to receive 1000 heartbreaks. That's why his character is being a pig(pun intended) or a perv, that way he'll push every girl he met so he won't feel attached to them.

It’s a flying needle and when activate, it stops him from being in that crazy yellow spell world. Great Fight!

Yeah but he never gonnna be able to get the item now because they for some reason decided to make that a quest line you can ONLY do before you kill that boss so the only way to get that item now for delirious is legit beat the game and go into New game+ and idk if delirous is willing to do all of that if he does beat the game but maybe since he seems to like it im sure he probably do but probably cut majority of it sense it basically the same stuff and will just post things he deems important in New game+

In the spider caves, there is an area full of cacoons, if you transform into the rat and explode in the middle of the group, you will destroy a lot of them, and you can just rest and repeat the process over and over again, you will gain many sparks, will and XP to level up.

Hey delirious there is actually a secret area which you have to complete then do this boss fight in chapter 4 like u get a needle that helps you with the yellow stage. so to access the secret area u remember you fought the second sister then the millions of spiders came behind you and you fell in a hole ,From that hole you have to go the shrine, i think its upper hollow shrine and behind this shrine will be a wooden thing going to the right, take that wooden thing go top of stairs then at the end you have to drop down. There will be a rock with spider eggs so go the right of the rock and you will find a broken wooden path with a leap of faith like just jump. I dont remember exactly but you should find some eggs sacks there and explore that bit until you find a wall of web go left to it where some more sacks are there , then go that path up the stairs and you will soon find the boss room. The boss should be venom daoist or something. once you defeat him go to the temple of enterance keepers shrine then go the right of the shrine up the stairs , out the door until you see a giant tree. Take left go to the end of the path until you see another tree take a right now go this path through the building up the stairs at the top of the slop take a left turn to up the stairs then right for the next set of stairs at the top pay attention to the left there you will find the opening now down the path you will find the boss and fight him again and in the boss arena or near it you will find an interactable wall and in the secret area , good luck my man.

Delirious i figured out that the armor set meant when it said mud ( 22:24 ) it means that after the duration of your transformation ends you will be covered in mud thus it giving you buffs based on that the details of the armor set says it does.

BTW delirious the meditation spots heal and give you mana back get rid of the monsters first then meditate and also good to save if it's hard to find a save spot and ur in a hectic spot 😉

weve been loving the series so far, cant watch rn becuase i gotta go to bed for work but something i wanted to see you try is the max level clones because they can solo a boss by themselves and they use your abilities without costing mana or putting it on cooldown, so u can use it and get like 3 free stuns also i wanted to see you try the gore eye daoist + spell binding combo it basically lets u 1 shot some bosses with a charged attack, its really overpowered and may help you with the yellow loong boss

Delirious you need to get one of the most OP transformations, it's the lion dude in the scroll that you were given by the old dragon, basically the realm where all the merchants gather, once you defeat the Lion dude you can challenge you can transform into him, and it is one of the most powerful transformations. Love the u ploads tho

Delirious with the fights you keep losing and giving up on, you need to know this bcz this might give you a bit of advice on what kind of a game this is. It's not about whether your strong enough or whether your gear is powerful enough, it helps to have better armour and weapons but it doesn't matter if you don't know how to play your cards right, Learn tactics and play smart not hard. It's a game about thinking you got to strategies you fights and learn the patterns, Time your Dodges and attacks properly along with learning how to use your abilities and when to use them, the fights become easier then the first boss you faced, This stuff is vital for games like this learn this stuff and game like this becomes a piece of cake

The Fungi Woman spirit is what you needed to fight the Centipede Dao Master. It's a ranged weapon that gives you health. Much more than you could do with the staff and gourd.

in that room in the snow chapter where you seen all the secret bosses you fought painted on the wall there is a secret boss there. Once you've defeated the secret boss from this chapter (I'm pretty sure the secret boss from this chapter is the last one you gotta fight in order to get the secret boss in that room) once you get a cut scene with the little buddha man in that room then you'll know you've done it

in Chinese spider 蜘蛛 spider is pronounced the same with 只猪 a pig, when she ask about where he been turn into, they tell him 他变成了只猪 he been turn into a pig which sounded like he turned into a spider. That's why she's given up to be a goddess and turned into spider just to find him
