My first video back from surgery and I hope you guys enjoy! Lined up with the release of this game and I've been anticipating it for a while. There's still a video or two left that I'd been working on pre surgery that will go live but this should mark my return to more regular content. I discovered that if you don’t know the journey to the west story (I only know the gist of it), that if you really want to understand what’s going on you need to read the enemy descriptions. There’s a lot of story beats that you just won’t get without reading them, like understanding everything with Jinchi, the two monk guais that you fought (fire boy and poison boy) the bear, and the big wolf. Like apparently the wolf wasn’t the original jiexuei, but a wolf that came with the bear, because the bear brought the original back from the dead but left right after, leading the bear to appoint a new one to control the wolves of the mountain, meaning he’s still around, and if you read the whiteclad noble part we discover he talked with the original wolf about his resurrection and the nature of it, and that’s just that part of the story, the more important part I think is the part with Jinchi because that I think was apart of the original journey, hence you got the mantle from it. Just saying it’s important to read the enemy/character information (the enemy information is in the portraits, if you expand them you get a whole story basically)

I think a great part is at the end of each chapter with the beautiful mural and narration. Zooming in on the illustration often allows for additional dialogue and context to the story.

7:14 fun fact BMW ( the game, not the car) plays after the journey to the west story. Meaning My boy the big monkey is SIX TIMES IMORTAL that's why you don't have an HP bar, no reason to show a life bar when its infinite and that is also way he just walks into the spear, it cant hurt him, and this is also why he grabs it, to prevent Erlang to pull back. Erlang is there to fight, Wukong is there because he's back is itching.

I might be wrong but Wukong is already immortal before Journey to the West and before getting sealed under Mount Sumeru. So realistically this could be before, as Wukong fights the heavenly army before being sealed

The Fruit Cam sync pop in like he is part of the game after the intro lol. Game looks sweet! Always makes me happy to hear the "HYYYWWWYAYAA!! ZYYYGYYAA!" of Fruit-ness. I am one with the Fruitness and have adopted the style myself! So very glad my King has made it through some of the tougher parts of recovery!
