Look the fundamental concept of Metacritic is sound. The issue is the execution. Their standard for English speaking critics is unbelievably low while so few outlets from Asia, South America get to be included to contribute the score. Put the score aside, isn't it incredibly sus that BMW literally got less number of review than LAD being a 100x more popular game among the gamers globally? Clearly there is a include problem within Metacritic. And this is not just shown in BMW case. Look at Starfield at launch, so many Xbox associated outlets (that has no relevance or legitimacy) reviewed it for 100 which significantly boosted the overall score over 80. If you think MC score is a good measure all I can say is according to Metacritic: Starfield > BMW...what a relevant website.

oscars is at least voted by industry insiders, these game journos are nobodies put into positions of "power" for no reason at all. I played both and Wukong is definitely my game of the year. I got tired of playing FF7 Rebirth after about a month, but I’m still playing Black Myth three months later

@somestew6356 it's not a bad game! I actually enjoyed whatever I played and plan on revisiting, but it really doesn't do a good job at any sort of tutorial. It's basically nonexistent, even in sekiro you had an undead dummy you could beat up on to practice combos, or parries. Which I know this game has, but the timing is either off or idk. They way they have things, they should just have a dedicated block or parry button and I guarantee you the combat would feel a lot better.
