The music scene coming out of LA in the early 80’s, carried by MTV...blew me away in junior high school...it was like nothing I had seen before. Just think of the bands at that time. It was a total explosion that eventually fizzled out 10 years later, but that initial surge won’t be forgotten by me.

Discovered this band due to being a huge Kiss fan, and honestly a part of me wished that Tommy and the rest would’ve had the same succes as Motley Crue due how good they sound. Even though I couldn’t think of anyone better than tommy to fill Ace’s shoes or anyone more deserving than Tommy to get that spot in kiss because he did indeed work for it. It wasn’t handed to him.
@timothywallace1850 Жыл бұрын
I saw them open for kiss in 1985 or 1986 in Philadelphia. GREAT live show!!! I know that Gene hired Tommy to be a road manager and keep an eye on Ace during the KISS reunion tour. Tommy DEFINITELy earned his place in KISS.

Many comments here talking about Dee Snider´s influence on the singer´s look, but in those years Dave Lee Roth was the reference for all the 80s generation of blonde singers...absolutely no questioning about it...every band wanted to have a singer with Dave´s look.

Seriously, I can't for the life of me imagine how any speed demon wouldn't want to blast this song out the stereo while putting the pedal to the metal and tearing up the race track! Even thinking about it, I can feel the adrenaline rush surging through my veins like electricity through a wire, and I'm in tears of joy from the sensation!
