There's been one on Cheddar Reservoir too in the last few days. Lovely bird in all plumages. You should get down Cheddar if you can John, loads of CR Plover, Curlew Sand, Ruff, Stint etc.

@@johnluk it's been drained recently which has created some good scrapes, but wouldn't be surprised if things have drastically changed after the last two days heavy rain however!

Cảm ơn Mai. Chúng là loài chim nước nhưng không phải vịt, Grebes là một bộ chim riêng biệt với mỏ nhọn và chân không có màng, thay vào đó chúng có ngón chân cái giúp chúng bơi. 😊💖

Hello! Well spotted ! But why is it alone? It should have its friends too! We see them sometimes but always far away. No closeups possible. Their breeding plumage is really something when it is possible to see it. Best wishes for autumn migration !🐦🐤🐦🐤📷💻‼️

Thanks Patricia, I have only seen photos of their breeding plumage which is gorgeous. I’d love to see that! It did have a partner for a couple of days but that one moved on. I wish you all the best with Autumn migration too! ‼️🐤🐦⬛🦉🦅
