They are $4 a piece where I live . Having them spawn and have babies sure would save some money . They are very nice .

Very nice. I have 6 in my 29 gallon tank and they don't school nearly as nice. But since I added harlequin rasboras (9), they sometimes school with them.

I put 88 neon tetras in my 200 gallon tank

@@thestrongholdsociety 29 gallon is a standard size. The base dimensions are exactly the same as a 20 gallon long, but it's taller.

In my experience...they are extremely hardy. I also take good care of them with regular water changes and adequate feeding.

@@NesRetroGames how much do you tend to feed them? do you follow the 2 minute rule where you take what they don't eat OR do you count out a set amount of pellets?

@@thestrongholdsociety I take a pinch of bug bites and feed them twice. Everything gets devoured quickly and everyone eats. I feed 5 days a week with two fast days. As Father Fish, popular KZbinr says: “A hungry fish is a healthy fish” and I stick to that.

They’re Black neons, there are more than one type of neon tetras. Very nice fish too.
