Only thing i got for you is that the saving woods thing at about 1:30 is slightly incorrect. Woods explains in a cutscene that he was captured in 1968 ish. escaped his capture from kravchenko in 1973. Then he was in cold war which was in 1981. Then he got captured by menendez in 1985-1986 ish. All I'm saying this the kravchenko capture and the menendez capture are unrelated.

I only existed for a year and 4 months by the time BO2 had released, but GODDAMN, I loved the game. The music, story, it all brings so much nostalgia and memories with my brothers. I remember being scared of the zombies, dying way too many times in the multiplayer, parents wouldn't buy me xbox live so I had to play local all the time, split-screen, such great times. Alot of people glaze 2000s-2018, and I might possibly be glazing right now. But it's not about the years, not about the events, it's about the memories. The whole reason people love the "old days" is because of the memories they created with others. So finally, I want to tell you to create some more memories. That's what made the recent years seem terrible, because lockdown, the pandemic, all that stuff prevented us from making good memories. Now have a damn good day.

My first playthrough I sniped Defalco and saved Harper, Chloe lives and you still get the good ending. I replayed this game like five times and I didn't get any of those scenes on the ship where menendez took over the ship, exept for our super spy jumping to take a bullet for Chloe. Man, this game was so good with everything (well, excluding the first two zombie maps, but then the best 3 after) Underated game.

I still remember my first playthrough of the story. Saved mason, saved Harper, killed Menendez. Whats funny is if you pay attention to the story, when you reach the point where you’re woods given the choice to shoot “menendez” on the rooftop, it’s obvious it can’t be him. The mission prior is the one set in the future as David where you’re literally taking surveillance footage OF MENENDEZ lol. Idk something I always found to be an easy call. Plus how sus Hudson acts on the radio throughout the entirety of the mission. Bo2 is my top 1 cod of all time. First one I ever played. Still the best.

I still can't believe they actually ended the story in BO2. Just one game after the best campaign they made half the game about the OGs and half about the new with a massive time jump. They really couldn't do at least 3 games? Then they should've continued with David Mason. Why jump all the way to 2065 in BO3? Then whatever the hell they tried and failed with BO4 since it brought back Mason and Woods as clones? It wasn't even an actual campaign anyway so doesn't matter much. Now they finally realised they abandoned a gold mine with Cold War being a BO1 sequel and BO6 being a sequel of BO2 (the non future part).

I think you got it wrong when you said Woods survived the grenade explosion and got captured by Menendez as in those two events happened at the same time, they happened at different time. After Woods survived and captured by Kravchenko, he was put in Hanoi Hilton prison. He escape from the POW prison and was rescued by US helicopter. That's why after BO1 we got COD Cold War where Mason and Woods are together and only after COD Cold War did mason retire and Woods was deployed in Angola where he was captured by Menendez
