I have a theory on that zombie warlord in Ancient Evil. I’m basically talking about identity and how is. From what I can see. The warlord is either Herakles, also known as Hercules if you wanna get Roman, or Persues who is a son of Zeus. The deal with him is that he was sent by the leader of his homeland to cut the head of one of three gorgon sisters, snake-headed women which include Medusa. He then makes a journey to kill one of them, and then ironically cuts the head of Medusa. With that, she gives birth to two sons from her neck. One of which is actually Pegasus. Yes, Medusa the most famous snake lady gave birth to a winged horse named Pegasus. Pegasus is also a son of Poseidon, the Sea God. So yeah, that’s just a theory, but it works for the most part. Don’t judge me. I’m a mythology nerd.

I like the chaos story so far because at least for now it is much much much less complicated and easier to follow than the aether line. The writers have a story in mind already and and can build each map and easter egg to fit, unlike the aether where it seemed like a lot was thought up after the fact to tie in all the maps to each other after zombies exploded in popularity.

I liked to headcanon that Bo4's ending, where all the universes get banished to the Dark Aether, included the Chaos universe and the universes from the non-Treyarch Zombies modes. I'm optimistic Bo6 may have confirmed something similar.

I’d imagine all the “Gods” in Chaos are just Dark Aether entities such as Kortifex or Inviktor, as it’s explained humans mistook them for gods. I think the trials also have something to do with the construct, as in the Archon the construct puts us through a trial to see if we are worthy or challenging Kortifex.

Before seeing this I was a bit biased for Chaos. Aether is great a classic and it set the tone for a lot of Zombies but as much as I like the Aether crew I’m tired of them. I want different characters for a change. Chaos will get better I’m sure of it.

It could've very well been reused character models, I wouldn't expect them to create new player mods just for the sake of cutscenes and maybe multiplayer/blackout usage... Or it could be seeds for the future
