I'm still surprised Wakanda Forever's score didn't even get nominated. I think it may be even better than the first one's score. I remember immediately playing it in my car when I left the theatre. I still listen to it in the car sometimes. Ludwig went crazy on the Black Panther scores...

Killmonger is a top 3 MCU antagonist for me. In the end, he made T'challa change his worldview, from isolationism to engagement. His means were questionable but his ends were justifiable.

This movie was of course another project unlike anything the MCU has ever made before, but in a major way. It made a billion at the box office, Marvel fans appreciated how amazing it was, it’s even the first MCU movie to be nominated for Best Picture. I do have to say, this movie is pretty great and it holds up very well. Aside from the clunky 3rd act, this was one solo Marvel movie that stood out from the rest. Wakanda forever!

Black Panther also succeed at something Disney has been called out for in failing time and time again as of recent years. It was diversity and inclusion done right, Disney has been called out for ruining it's own reputation with it's woke agenda. But Black Panther stands out, because despite being political and being a very inclusive film Black Panther is widely liked across the fandom. The biggest criticism I see people say is it's a bit overrated, but I rarely see anyone call it bad. Disney has tried to recreate the success of the Black Panther formula for years, and for the most part failed. Even Black Panther 2 didn't do as good as the first one without Chadwick.

One of the greatest and most influential movies ever made. Black Panther was so influential that other African nations, in particular Ghana, are actually taking inspiration from Wakanda and investing more money in education, arts and technology than they ever have before.

*“Now more than ever, the illusions of division threaten our very existence. We all know the truth. More connects us than separates us. But in times of crisis, the wise build bridges, while the foolish build barriers. We must find a way to look after one another, as if we were on, single tribe.” - King T’Challa* I wish every single world leader and politician throughout the world would watch this movie and listen to this speech. Too many times throughout history have people rallied others on the basis of division through racism, sexism, and religion. The ones who make real and lasting change are the ones who follow the same philosophy T’Challa embraces in the end.

Definitely one of my favorite movies in all of the MCU. It may still be in my top 3. The tone, the heart, the emotion, just the grand feel of it in total. It just hit on so many levels for me as not only a young Black man, but just as a fan of comics and superheroes period. This also came out around the same time I had just joined the military. So it was a really special time for me that year. Wakanda was absolutely beautiful and I wish we could've explored more of it in this movie. This movie felt very different from what the MCU usually does too. So many movies in the mcu lack this level of depth of heart and emotion in my opinion. Most of them feel more light hearted and silly, and while I enjoy some like that, I don't enjoy all. Sometimes I want my movie to actually be serious. I still had my nitpicks with the film, like the cgi being kinda bad in places, and I thought the action coulda been a tad better, but overall it was an amazing experience. Glad you enjoyed it too. RIP to a legend as well! Chadwick did an AMAZING job, and knowing what he was going through during this movie makes it 10 times better. Oh! And I'm still waiting on my solo player, open world, story driven game for Black Panther. He's way too cool of a character not to have his own game or something by now.

Michael B Jordan did a good job portraying the hurt/emotion that gets buried in anger and temper because it made him feel more human and he was a child underneath who deeply missed his father. Notice how when he was buried in the ritual and returned home in the ancestral plain the younger version of himself wasn't seen shedding a tear for his dad but then cuts to his older current version in tears that contrast was subtle but is deep because it shows he never truly dealt with it and because he was so hurt he was hardened and embarked on a mission but when seeing his dad he couldn't help but shed a tear and the true kicker is that both father and son went out the same way impaled through the chest by family the same family who they believe makes them feel isolated and lost. Such good writing for me Kilmonger was the best part of the movie he was so fascinating that ending line of "just bury me in the ocean with my ancestors that jumped from the ships, cuz they knew death was better than bondage" is so quotable and deep he wanted to go out his way on his own terms. Another fascinating thing was how even tho he was angered by wakanda and how their isolationist mentality got his father killed and ignores millions of others that are down on their luck despite all that he still is aware and appreciates the African culture like in the museum when he rebukes the lady who thought one of the pieces was fulah and says its wakandan and that line " how do you think your answers got their hands on these did they ask or did they take like they took everything else" shows how quick he is to defend the African artifacts and his constant references of the oppressed and the oppressors and conquerers and conquered all ties back to slavery and how Africans have a history of being oppressed and being underlooked which makes his character admirable and understandable. Again such good writing in this movie.

Yesss every bit of this, killmonger is the definition a nuanced antagonist. He has so many redeemable qualities despite the bad things he's done and you can empathize with him because of his hurt. It's not pure evil, he's the hero of his own story

I remember sitting in theaters and watching the opening scene of T’Challa flying over Wakanda. My wife can attest to this, but I started sobbing. Black Panther was one of my favorite heroes as a kid, and I was afraid that they wouldn’t do Wakanda justice. To see the city for the first time, done so beautifully, was more than I could handle. This is one of my favorite MCU movies, but it’s hard to capture that feeling of seeing it for the first time. I wish I could erase it from my memory to watch it again.

ill never understand the challenge not being complete whether T'challa showed mercy at the end of the day that was his decision and he lost. Zuru interfered to save T'challa. Killmonger should have won, then the Jabari tried kept him on ice to try and save him meaning he was only alive due to outside interference again, killmonger should have won, and then they give him the urb which is the only reason he survived in the end more outside interference he should have lost 3 and I know most of the people don't know that but the fact the royal family gets a loophole to find another way back in power is wild to me and the fact ever reaction is like yeah its not complete, Its like a championship boxing match were Im about to knock the person out and the one of his coaches in the ring and stops me just the match continues then get back in the fight and knockout my opp and someone else jumps in the ring to save them from the 10 count, then someone else comes in with special medicine for my opp and gives it to him and they say okay continue the fight??? What kind of traditional combat is this???

I wanted to share an idea for *Black Panther 3* or *Black Panther 4* that I think could be incredible, especially if Damson Idris were cast as T'Challa Jr. Damson Idris is 32 years old, 6'1", and of Nigerian descent-he’d be a perfect fit to play T'Challa Jr. in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. His recent performance in *Snowfall* shows he has the intensity and emotional range needed for such a role. Additionally, there’s an interesting coincidence here: Damson’s *Snowfall* character, Franklin Saint, was born and raised in South Los Angeles, while Michael B. Jordan’s Erik "Killmonger" Stevens was born and raised in Oakland, California. "Coincidence?" (in the words of the teacher from *The Incredibles*) “I think not!” #MarvelGotMoney Imagine if some of the brilliant writers and directors from *Snowfall* collaborated with Ryan Coogler and the Marvel team. It could add new layers to T'Challa's storyline and bring fresh perspectives to his character. In terms of storyline, Damson could truly capture the complex emotions of T'Challa Jr.-a young man dealing with the loss of his father and being raised by his mother. It could follow a theme similar to *The Lion King* but with a unique Marvel twist. *Black Panther: Wakanda Forever* introduced us to T'Challa and Nakia’s son, Toussaint, who has been raised in secret, setting the stage for his development. If Michael B. Jordan’s Killmonger is brought back from the Ancestral Plane, it would be powerful to see T'Challa Jr. encounter him. The Ancestral Plane is where past Wakandan rulers’ spirits reside, allowing the living to seek their guidance through the heart-shaped herb. When Shuri went under to connect with her ancestors, hoping to see her mother, she instead saw Killmonger. A similar encounter between T'Challa Jr. and Killmonger could be symbolic, bridging past conflicts and offering T'Challa Jr. wisdom as he steps into his role. Additionally, just imagine if characters like Leon, Louie, Uncle Jerome, Teddy, Gustavo, and Cissy from *Snowfall* could be integrated into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. They could bring a fresh, unique dynamic to the MCU, attracting a new audience. Ryan Coogler has previously compared T'Challa and Killmonger to Martin Luther King Jr. and Malcolm X. Continuing this narrative with T'Challa Jr. and Killmonger could explore themes of nobility, understanding loss, being for the people, becoming a symbol, and taking action. Damson’s portrayal of T'Challa Jr. (a parallel to MLK Jr.) would be an excellent fit for this storyline. This could also be the perfect time to introduce mutants into the MCU. Casting Chloe Bailey as Storm would be a great choice, especially since she and Damson worked together on *Swarm*. In the comics, Storm and T'Challa have children, and adding Denzel Washington as the Panther Goddess Bast-either as a voice or in an astral/human form in the Ancestral Plane-could add even more depth to the story. Thanks for considering this idea! I’m excited about the potential future of T'Challa Jr. and the Black Panther legacy.

Killmonger was a great antagonist, super relatable and a representation of the old African proverb of "the child who is not embraced by the village, will burn it down to feel its warmth". It's crazy when you realize that the child at the beginning asking his father to tell him the story of Wakanda is not a young T'Challa talking to King T'Chaka but actually a young N'Jadaka talking to his dad Prince N'Jobu, because he had never been to Wakanda.

How ironic is it that the first ever comic book movie to be nominated at the Oscars for Best Picture was robbed by the movie Green Book, a white savior movie that focuses more on the white man than the black man said movie is really about. This as well as the fact that Angela Bassett was also robbed of a best supporting actress win for the sequel (when she won at every other awards show that year) proves that the Oscars still have a massive bias towards comic book films.
