Killmonger’s story arc started with the intro. That was his father, the prince, telling him the fairy tale of Wakanda. So the first 5 minutes served a dual purpose of exposition and character building.

I think Disney has said that Phase 4 or whatever Phase is after Infinity War is going to completely change Marvel movies, so perhaps the MCU is going to have sci-fi hight tech in everyday life. Perhaps it's so advanced that even if they share the how, not everyone will be able to recreate it, but we did get a spoiler that Tony's Infinity War suit uses the same tech Black Panther's suit has.

His little sister was the best character in the movie. Like an adorable and feisty Q That the warrior fight for the crown was still a tradition in their society goes along with the isolationist mentality and traditions that T’challa’s father believed in, so T’challa would be that generational shift in society. The third act really should have been more of the change in mentality for Black Panther coming to a head with him confronting his father for abandoning his cousin and him realizing its wrong to horde their technology and not just a punch up and the last couple minutes he decides to change things.

I think you missed the point of all the technology and them not hiding it within their own borders. To me, a big point of the movie was an allegory for western nations internal questions about whether we should allow refugees entry into our nations on mass vs interfere in other countries to make them more palatable vs isolationism vs creative engagement That wouldn't work if the country was shown to be the third world backwater that it imagined by Elliot Ross (and by extension the rest of the world) The border tribe (IIRC) represents the right wing anti-immigrant parties Killmonger is the neo-con new-colonialism T'Chaka (and all previous kings) are isolationism T'Challa and Nakia are creative engagement

I dont get the criticism of the origin. People would be asking where all the vibranium came from then. Its best to establish this stuff from the get go instead of breaking the flow of the movie to get it explained or get it told to us by the director. Thats a really reachy nitpick
