Air or water cooling? Which one will you choose for your new build?

I've used an AIO in my last two builds but am considering an air cooler for the next one. Should do plenty of cooling and no worries about possible pump failure. AIOs are overkill for a lot of systems but they have that clean look. Current build was full RGB and the next one I want something like this with minimal lighting, just enough to show what's in the case.

Wow, amazing video! The Lian Li O11 Air Mini was a case I really wanted to build with in the past. However, I never had the chance. I really enjoyed watching the video👍
@pcelegance4 ай бұрын
Thank you! Yes, it is good, but there is nothing that can compare with my Lian Li O11 Vision. It was the most comfortable case to build since I have started my channel. Hope there will be someone to compete with him!
@brianmiller15742 ай бұрын
The vision has minimum airflow compared to Air mini. I have both and with the same config and hardware my temps went up 5-6C under load because the front glass not giving any air and the side fans aren't optimized for air. Side is designed more for AIO, not airflow.

Hi, I like your videos, they show many little details, less experienced builders take in consideration after looking. I understand, that an esthetic look has to have some issues like parallelity of fans in mind. But, I think, it is a mistake, to reduce to bottom-intake to two fans and emphasize the outtaking on top with the same two fans, because of this, the 1st outtaking fan on top "steals" cold air from the Noctua, as it clearly can be seen @10:00+. "Nonsense" would be a too hard sentence. If u build a pc with aircooling, you inevitably can use the rear and toprear fans for excaust, all others may not do "their job", because of the disturbance of the airflow. And an aircooled pc needs the max of potentially available freshair, so that the fans do not have to spin fast, which means, this build lack three intaking fans! My2Centz
@pcelegance4 ай бұрын
Thank you for such a longread comment ;)) I am not sure, but probably you have not noticed that there are 2 x 120 mm fans for intake in the bottom, 2 x 140mm intake fans in the front, 2 x 120mm exhaust fans on top and 1 x 120mm exhaust on back. So it is 4 for intake and 3 for exhaust
@fussnote17584 ай бұрын
@@pcelegance Hi. I recognized your fan-setup, but the problem is, and you prove it by yourself with the smoke-movement, that the mid-outtaking moves fresh air outside, before it hits the noctua. More intake from the side and the final one bottom rises the intake, so that all intaking fanes can stay @minimum rpm. But I understand, that you weight the optics high and chose the "parallel-build" of the fans bottom and top. Btw: For me it is important, that you do not take my comment(s) as critics, but my own experience(s) and my point of view. And the high quality of your video remains unaffected, I felt entertained! You get my abo, since you show problems, which I would have while building. Thx and go on! :)

@fussnote1758 No worries. I do understand that it is a discussion with a smart person ;) I do understand what you are talking about and I was thinking the same when I was building it. But I have decided that : 1. Fans speed can be adjusted; 2. It is non K core i5, so no worries about too much overheating; 3. If I would go with 1 up fan it would look like most others on youtube build channels; 4. Esthetics and overall look won this time ;)
