Black - Pearl Jam - Acoustic Cover

My cover of Black by Pearl Jam. For technical questions: I play a Maton EM300 (1989) model guitar. I use a Zoom H4 (slightly out of frame) as the audio interface directly into GarageBand where I do all the mixing afterwards. Thanks for watching!

Damn that algorithm. I just finished this week ending my 13-year relationship with the first love of my life. We lived together for 3 years and went through a lot. Then KZbin recommends this video to me. I used to listen to "Black" in my because of unrequited love. Today, I realize it's much stronger than I could have imagined.

Brother. Two weeks ago I had 20 years and 2 children. I'm sorry for your loss. I had my deepest cut with my first love when I was 14 and when I was 18 she broke up with me for some spaz. But Cat Stevens already sang "the first cut is the deepest". Cheer up my friend. There will be good days again. I recommend Chester Bennington, Pearl Jam and of course the Foo Fighters. After every fall, you get up again at some point. No drugs just music 😘

Dude, don’t give some random equation so much credit. Your taste is what ultimately brought this music to you. All it’s doing is riding off of what Spotify has perfected for years. That is, recommending you (the user) other artist or songs that have a very similar “vibe” as all the stuff you gravitate towards anyway. So yeah after putting it like that I guess I’ll get down and worship the almighty Al Gore Rhythm 🙌🏼

Thanks, man. I really appreciate that! And I'm happy the channel found you. I really have no idea where it will go. I'm just putting out the videos and hopefully they find their way to even more people eventually. Interesting that you mentioned Cat's in the Cradle. I just finished an arrangement of that and it will come soon! The mic I use is a humble Zoom H4 as the audio interface. It's just a fraction out of frame in front of me (I prefer not to have the mic in frame). I do all the mixing, compression, reverb, etc afterwards. The guitar and vocals are on one track - 100% live - so I have the mic positioned higher to get a clearer vocal sound. Hope this helps. Cheers!
