Breathtakingly Gorgeous 100% Natural Color grown and hand-picked straight from Tahiti. We got these from a friend that has a cultured pearl farm on the island of Takarao in the Tahitian Islands. These beautiful pearls have the classic Tahitian beautiful dark luster with radiant iridescent colors - One of a Kind! Metallic Intense Silver Peacock with blue, green, pink, purple, aqua green overtones.
These pearls range from 12 ½ mm to 13 ½ mm and are Baroque in shape, meaning not perfectly spherical. These imperfections are due to some irritants in the layers but do not take from the whole quality of this strand but influences the price. The most valuable of baroque pearls are the South Sea and Tahitian pearls. These pearls are produced by Pinctada margaritifera - the black-lipped oysters. This necklace includes a sterling silver clasp with black silk thread.
