But they need to base that opinion on something foundational. They can’t just believe something because they randomly want to believe something. They have to base it in reality. You can’t cherry pick things, just to reinforce a narrative that you want to believe to begin with. The Ottoman Empire owned and ruled the territory for about 500 years, but it was still filled with Jewish people. Just like America has lots of Native Americans in it. The Ottoman Empire sided with Germans during WWI. They lost and the control of the land of Israel was transferred to the British and the French. They decided, after WWII to make new countries out of the area. They created many countries like Jordan, Syria, Lebanon, etc. But they knew the Bible and they knew that Israel was the homeland of the Jewish people, so they created Israel so that the Jews could return to their homeland. They did not kick anybody out. As soon as Israel was created, it was attacked by the surrounding Arab countries. But Israel fought back, won, and acquired more land. Israel gave back the land in exchange for peace and the right to exist. The Arab nations, including Palestine, were happy to get the land back, but they do not want peace. One correction. The Western wall is not the holliest place for Jews. The western wall is one of the retaining wall for the temple mount. The holliest place for Jews is actually on the Temple mount inside what the Arabs call the Dome of the Rock. This is where the Holy temple stood. It is the place where Abraham went to sacrifice his son Isaac before he was stopped by Angels. It is important to note that the Dome of the rock is not a mosque. It is a shrine that was built by the Muslim leader Caliph Umar ibn al-Khattab who conquered Jerusalem in 635 CE to protect the site of the Jewish temple. Unfortunately, many muslims today do not know the history of the place and Jews and non Muslims are not allowed to pray there. The Roman's called the Jews Palestininans... as a kind of slur.
@yoavpeled-h2c6 ай бұрын
The Roman's called the land syria palestina. The called palestina on the name of the philstin that were enemy to the jews. The Israelite gave the name philstin to people that came from Greece. The jews gave to them that name from the Hebrew word פולש. That means invader. The Arabs have nothing to the name palestina. They always called themselves only Arabs not palestinian. Only after israel establishment they started to call themselves palestinian only from political reason. What notion called themselves in word from other languages and in word that means invader?
@MaanitRosenthal5 ай бұрын
@@yoavpeled-h2c Exactly! Arabs didn’t declare themselves “Palestinians” until the late 60s when Yasser Arafat, an Egyptian born man, declared it and donned the kefiyeh and making it cultural. Before 1948 the flag of mandated Palestine was a Star of David, the currency had the Hebrew letters אי which stands for Am Israel (the people of Israel) and even the Palestinian football team were all Jewish. It’s not to say that Arabs nowadays can’t have some form of self determination or try to make a home for themselves, as long as it isn’t at the expense of anyone else, but you cannot and shouldn’t ignore this very simple history. Anyone who disputes it is very ignorant, it’s the most well documented region.

Oddly enough the only people in the region whose DNA shows they are actual descendants of the Peleset/Philistin/Phoenicians are the Lebanese. The Gaza Arabs have no legitimate claim to the land.
@yoavpeled-h2c5 ай бұрын
There no connection between dna and the right to the land. The right of the land is a combination of dna traditions and faith. The jews today are descendants of original jews that mixed with people from the places they lived. For example among the Ashkenazi jews approximately 45% of their dna are from the middle East, and the rest from italy mainly southern Italy and little Germany. Among the people that live today in southern Italy there many genes from the middle East. There is a possibility that people who live today in southern Italy were once jews that converted to Christianity, it is possibility but it is not certain. What is certain is that the Ashkenazi jews are the most genetically similar to people that live today in southern Italy. Also there is Arabs palestinian that live in the area of southern mountains Hebron that found in genetic study that they very close to the Ashkenazi jews. There were jews that convert to Islam and they know that they came from the jews. One example is the village called Yata in southern mountain Hebron that the people in this village are jews that convert to Islam.
@aaronws95613 ай бұрын
@@yoavpeled-h2c this has actually been refuted in the article “when Palestine meant Israel” by Jacobson. Essentially, Palestine is a translation of the word Israel, but into Greek. In this way the Romans could rename the province and “dejudaize” it while continuing to use a familiar name for the province. There actually isn’t a link to the Philistines at all. This came about by a centuries long misunderstanding about this name change.

@@Poisonoustruth Thank you for your questions... 1. Jesus never spoke about "Lost Tribes of Israel"...what He said is that He came for the LOST SHEEP of the House of Israel... This tells you that the House of Israel existed in His time in Israel, else He would have no 'lost sheep' to preach to... 2. In the prophecy of the "Dry Bones" in Ezekiel... God tells the prophet that He would bring them back to life, and that they were the WHOLE HOUSE of ISRAEL... This prophecy was fulfilled in the Holocaust... (Ezekiel 37:11-14) says: Then He said to me, “Son of man, these bones are the WHOLE HOUSE OF ISRAEL. They indeed say, ‘Our bones are dry, our hope is lost, and we ourselves are cut off!’ Therefore prophesy and say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord God: “Behold, O My people, I will open your graves and cause you to come up from your graves, and BRING YOU INTO THE LAND OF ISRAEL. (That happened in 1948) Then you shall know that I am the Lord, when I have opened your graves, O My people, and brought you up from your graves. I will put My Spirit in you, and you shall live, and I WILL PLACE YOU IN YOUR OWN LAND. Then you shall know that I, the Lord, have spoken it and performed it,” says the Lord.’ ” Today all "Israelites" are called "Jews" because in the Diaspora, they were all mingled, and thus the House of Israel and the House of Judah/Benyamin are collectively known as the Jews... In the Book of Revelation the 12000 from each tribe that will be sealed by God, (144 000), are sealed in Israel, since the Great Tribulation which is also known as the "Time of Yacov (Israel)'s trouble" takes place mainly in the Land of Israel...for this very purpose God wanted His people to return to the land... In fact, He said he would first send for the 'fishermen', and then the 'hunters'... because He has a bone to pick with His Chosen People. (You can read the whole chapter for context - notice He is bringing them from the 'land of the north - north of Israel is Russia and we had a MASSIVE influx of Russian Jews in the past two decades and everywhere else He has scattered them. - This alone tells you that it is not the Babylonian diaspora's, but the last one that happened before 1948.) (Jeremiah 16:16) 3. As for the C'naanites, in the time of Joshua they were COMPLETELY wiped out, except for ONE family, the family of Rahab, who became the mother of Boas, and is in the bloodline of Messiah Yeshua (Jesus the Christ)... So if any other descendants exist...they would be the product of integration into the tribes of Israel, since Rahab and her family were adopted into the tribe of Judah, from which Messiah stems... There are some who want to imply that the Lebanese of today have C'naanite DNA, but that is not true... The Lebanese of today are 44% Arabian, 14% Jewish Diaspora, 2% Eastern Africa, 11% Northern Africa, 10% Asia Minor and 5% Southern Europe. I hope that helps.

Correction the western wall was an outside supporting wall of the temple mount. The Temple mount is the holiest site. Unfortunately the arabs (with Israel's concent for security and political reasons) limit Jewish access and prayer on the Temple mount ,plus there is a debate in Jewish Religious law out going to the Temple mount because of it's holiness - in a small section of the Temple mount approx whete the dome of the rock now stands is what was the holy of holies - a special chamber that housed the ark of the Covent and only the high priest was allowed in only once a year. Entry to certain other parts of the temple also rquired a state of ritual purity to enter. It is only the last 200 or so years that the western wall has become a main focal piont for prayer as access to the rest of the temple area is restricted for the reasons just stated.

Just one correction: the Western wall is part of the retaining wall of the temple - not the temple itself - and the holiest place in Judaism is the Temple Mount. However, Jews are forbidden from praying there. So the Western Wall is the closest we get - both historically to a remaining structure of the temple, and physically, the closest to the holiest place for us where we may pray.

3,000 years ago King David bought the (smaller then) Temple Mount from the Jebusites who used it as a threshing harvest floor.

Also, just answer your question about the Western Wall or the Kotel, we pray at this site because it’s the closest that we can get to the Holy of Holies. This is the place where the Temple once stood upon the Temple Mount. Today, the dome of the rock occupies that space. That’s the big yellow dome that you probably are familiar with. It’s a Muslim shrine that they built on top of this location. Most religious Jews, not all, but most, will not walk upon the Mount. This is why the Kotel is the closest that we can get. We do not walk on the Temple Mount because we do not want to accidentally walk across the place that was holy. Because there’s no temple there and we can’t be 100% certain what areas are what. There’s also some ritualistic laws with being ritually pure but that’s a little more complicated. But this is why it’s the most holy place that we can actually openly visit. It’s not the holiest place, because that’s the Temple Mount. Which is also believed to be where Adam was created, were Abraham was to sacrifice his son and where the two temples stood, with the third to be built in the Messianic Age.

Recommend the book “The Oracle” by Jonathan Cahn. Great information. Labeled historical fiction but the true info in there is amazing.

Well the Bible said Ham’s son Canaan had the land first. I didn’t hear that. She left a lot of info out! Careful 😊

Yes the Western Wall is twhere you see jpeople pray. It is he holiest place for jews to pray today because it is the closest place to the Holy Temple where jews can pray. The actual site of that is beyond that wall is held by muslims and they dont allow non muslems to pray there. The muslems built a mosque over the site of the jewish teple called the El Aqusa mosque.

5:40 Prosperity. That's the key word for why the Ottoman Sultan Abdul Hamid II invited Jews and sold them lands. You might not know, but until early 1900's antibiotic, cities never really grew, they subsisted by a never-ending wave of farmers children migrants. Jews changed all that. In their prayers before meals they have to wash hands, today we don't let our children touch food without washing hands, but nobody knew back then about bacteria and virus, or the importance to wash clothes and change bed sheets. Kosher food must at least look pristine, without damage or insects on them. Thus the produce looked good, had high value on market and naturally the Jew population was the only one that had some growth. Jews brought "advanced" European farming techniques, for the first time farm land grew. For Sultan Abdul that meant more population, more food, more taxes. The selling of land for farming was made legal and opened the gates for what is called The First Migration Wave, like the Kibbutzim Noah mentioned.
