Yes I saw it too. The most racist people that I knew in my Texas town remained Democrat mostly because they thought that black people were inferior and could not live without government help. They thought that voting for Democratic social programs was “being nice” for “those people.” These people would not take a government hand out because it was beneath them. People in my town became Republican when they stopped seeing black people as a different species. I know new racist Democrats it in my youth, and they and their kids are still Democrats now.

You are quite correct, I'm almost 73 and my family moved from Chicago to Florida when I was 2. I can barely remember the whites only drinking fountains, but the values of the vast majority changed almost 180 degrees. These started to backslide with Obama driving wedges between races, economic classes and any other ways he could think of to divide the country.

Racism isn’t about “being nice”. White supremacy isn’t about being nice. If you believe that, you’re kidding yourself. White supremacy, and the racism associated with it, has always been about power. Today Republicans suppress the black vote through gerrymandering and voter suppression. DeSantis eliminated a black representative’s district by gerrymandering. DeSantis is eliminating black history in schools - whitewashing your history.

I'm a Southern Republican. It hurts my heart that we are viewed by so many as bad people. Every person is created by God and no one person is better or more valuable than another. Everything in the video you watched is true. If everyone would do like you're doing and take the time to discover things instead of accepting the lies that are pushed on them we would all be so much better off. The Left wants us divided. The left have been evil since the beginning... They want democracy... The right wants a republic. Only a complete idiot would want democracy That's mob rule Everybody wakes up one day deciding nobody should have a right arm, in democracy. Then everybody gets their right arm cut off. A republic has a constitution with certain rights that can never be taken away. So if 51% of the people woke up tomorrow and wanted to take away your freedom of speech, they couldn't do it because it's in the Constitution

Most won't. I think the reality is you have to accept living in a fallen world means being hated for doing what is good. There is also an element of fear. People fear those motivated by something that can't be bought. It's been up hill for most of my life. I was brought up a northern Democrat. Black. Poor. The whole nine. Yet, never did I feel within. Only among. When you're an only child with cold parents, you spend a lot of time thinking. I realized pretty early on race wouldn't cut it. The idea that I could pluck a random person from Compton or Africa and find kinship is silly. Of all the time I spent thinking, very little was about my skin. So I found people who were thinking what I was thinking, which at the time was Bernie. The idea of Medicare for all was the first time I felt loved by my country. Not something inherited, but something new. Us saying as a nation we refuse to let each other go. Then all the race stuff I settled in my mind came back, only this time it was like a virus. One by one my friends went to college and one by one they came back hating white people. Especially my white friends. They were going through the MOTIONS. Then the lies. One by one. Mike Brown. Trayvon Martin. Breonna Taylor, Jacob Blake, and then George Floyd. I watched them burn black businesses to the ground. They killed a few more black people in the riots than were killed by cops that same year. Then I spoke. Then I voted for someone I shouldn't have. Then I was no longer black. I was no longer a Democrat. And all those friends I made from these ideas I fell in love with could only see me as a victim. So now I'm just free. None of those labels were ever enough for me in reality. They aren't enough for you either. Southern Republican are the last thoughts I'd have if we actually met. I'd be thinking about what you said, and the pov you have, and no part of me would be distilling YOU down to a caricature.

@@saintanthony1529 So how you gonna come in here wanting all kinds of details of what that woman's values are? Those are individual things that get very, very nuanced. For example: Southern woman here and I voted Obama, Obama, Trump Trump. It is not about skin color, but I tell you if more minorities don't get outta their heads about race we are gonna lose it all. The Globalists are on the back porch breaking down the door and ya'll steady trying to undo the deadbolt while we steady locking it back. Once that happens you can forget ANY kind of entrepreneurship; any idea of ever owning a home of your own - following a lot of awful times involving stripping those who own now of their property either with or without violence; any ability to conduct a transaction for cash and not have the government log it in your file. People better wake up. There are a lot of us starting to contemplate Patrick Henry's statement: "Give me liberty or give me death" and what that may mean in the VERY NEAR future. We will soon come to the point of either fighting or giving in. And I don't mean giving in as relates to the bs they are spew about racists and white supremacy, as if FREEDOM is White Supremacy. THAT is what they are telling you and you lapping it up. You wanna know what MAGA means? When was America "GREAT"? It was great before the Communists and Neo-Marxists took over all the institutions and starting spewing out hoards of little "comrads" who march in the street and burn it down. THAT is MAGA.

I was born and raised in California. When Obama was first running for president, I was in my junior year of high school so I wasn't able to vote but I was encouraged to want him for president because of his skin color. When he was running for his 2nd term, I was again encouraged to vote for Obama because of skin color and I didn't really consider his policies versus Mitt Romney's. Looking back, I completely regret it. When Hilary was running for president, I was encouraged to vote for her just because she's a woman. I actually listened to her policies versus Trump's. I voted for Trump and I don't regret it.

Racist and Islamophobic attitudes have been shown to be a powerful indicator of support for Trump. Republicans --The Tariff Act of 1930 commonly known as the Smoot-Hawley Tariff or Hawley-Smoot Tariff, was a law that implemented protectionist trade policies in the United States. Sponsored by Senator Reed Smootand Representative Willis C. Hawley, it was signed by President Herbert Hoover on June 17, 1930. The act raised US tariffs on over 20,000 imported goods. He was a republican Abraham Lincoln said that war world one started because of AFRICANS Jim crow was from The Democratic Party is one of the two major contemporary political parties in the United States. Since the 1850s, its main political rival has been the Republican Party. Jim Crow laws were a collection of state and local statutes that legalized racial segregation. Named after a Black minstrel show character, the laws-which existed for about 100 years, from the post-Civil War era until 1968-were meant to marginalize African Americans by denying them the right to vote, hold jobs, get an education or other opportunities. Abraham Lincoln SAID AFRICANS ARE THE ONE THAT STARTED WAR White supremacy underlies a spectrum of contemporary movements including white nationalism, white separatism, neo-Nazism, and the Christian Identity movement. The Proud Boys, despite claiming non-association with white supremacy, have been described in academic contexts as being such. In recent years, websites such as Twitter, Reddit, and Stormfront, and the presidential campaign of Donald Trump, have contributed to an increased activity and interest in white supremacy. The presidential campaign of Donald Trump led to a surge of interest in white supremacy and white nationalism in the United States, bringing increased media attention and new members to their movement; his campaign enjoyed their widespread support. Trump's ex-wife once said Trump kept a book of Hitler's speeches by his bed was told before 1995 Trump echoes HITLER's words on the campaign tail Hitler - I WILL GET RID OF THE "COMMUNIST" VERMIN TRUMP-- I WILL GET RID OF THE "COMMUNIST" VERNON Hitler words I WILL TAKE CARE OF THE "Enemy WITHIN" TRUMP SAID I WILL TAKE CARE OF THE "Enemy WITHIN". Goldwater, Nixon and others in the GOP used what they called the “Southern strategy” to leverage the grievances and fears of Southern whites over the Democrats’ groundbreaking proposal that Blacks should have equal rights. With such rhetoric, the president is taking a page or two out of the 1960s “southern strategy”: the playbook Republican politicians such as Richard Nixon and Barry Goldwater used to rally political support among white voters across the south by leveraging racism and white fear of people of color. Steve Scalise, who once bragged that he was KKK Grand Wizard David Duke "without the baggage" (he means hood) and refused to certify the results of the 2020 election, David Ernest Duke (born July 1, 1950) is an American politician, white supremacist, antisemitic conspiracy theorist, and former grand wizard of the Knights of the Ku Klux Klan Founded in 1865, the Ku Klux Klan (KKK) extended into almost every southern state by 1870 and became a vehicle for white southern resistance to the Republican Party’s Reconstruction-era policies aimed at establishing political and economic equality for Black Americans. All should know WHY LINCOLN Statues were broken down right? And why even a school change that name right ? Learn if you dont know 😊 republicans always crying about gas when going up they should educate themselves to afford it sure if you are being serious or not. Gasoline prices average for 2015 - 2018 were 2.45, 2.14, 2.52, 2.75. All lower than 2006 prices. Prices were stable until 2021 when it surged to $3.41 by Dec. trump did, indeed ask OPEC to increase production in 2018 but reversed himself and blackmailed Saudi Arabia and OPEC (holding up arms shipments) into reducing oil pumping in middle 2019 when demand dropped and oil prices went negative. The deal was a binding 2 year contract going beyond his term in office. The result was higher demand and prices as the world began recovery from the pandemic.. What you can thank trump for are the high prices now in 2022 presently averaging $4.60/gal bottom grade. The oil industry is happy as a pig in slop. They simply sell to the highest bidder world wide - the US could go dry for all they care. Capitalism at it’s best. ..

I am 63 years old (born in 1961). I started my exodus off the Democratic Plantation in 1992, which was the last year I voted for a Democrat presidential candidate. However, that exodus wasn't immediate. It took several years for it to become complete. During that process I didn't realize how deep Democrat identification was buried in my psyche. I realized in my subconscious level that I had equated things with no proof that they were true. For instance, I had equated Democrat with justice and fairness. I had equated Republican with racist. Again, these equivalences had taken residence in my sub conscious. They were a part of how I viewed myself without even thinking about it. So it took a few years to first discover it, then to root it out. For me, what started this journey was the constant promoting of something that kept nagging me. That something was 2 fold. It was victimhood and government reliance. One always pointed to the other. "Because you're black you are a victim. Therefore, you need us (the government/Democratic Party) to free you.". Essentially, they were telling me that me and my people were incapable of doing for ourselves. IOW, we were children in need of our adult parents to guide us. This bothered me greatly as at that time I viewed almost everything through a black/white prism and would self identify as a black militant. At that time I was in my early 30s and the rhetoric was mild relative to what we see today. But as I lived through the 90s, I became more and more irritated by the rhetoric. Also, that was the first time I noticed how the rhetoric increased during election years, then practically disappeared in the other years. So not only were we children in need of parental guidance, but being used to secure election results was the end game. In 1996 for the first time I voted for a non Democrat for president. Since then, the Dems have confirmed everything and more that I suspected when I decided to leave. Their philosophies keep our people weak as they essentially preach dependence on government as the answer to all your problems. This philosophy alleviates people from any responsibility regarding their own standing in life because it's always somebody else's fault that you aren't where you want to be. This mindset creates weak and dependent people which is exactly where the Dems want us to be. Today, they use black politicians, black media personalities, and other black celebrities to try to keep the people in line. They label those who won't conform as Uncle Toms, coons, uninformed, etc. when it is THEY who are the Toms and Coons. And to make matters worse, I personally do not believe these black Democrat ambassadors believe the things they push. I think there are many smart Democrats who know what the Dems push is trash, but they have money and power attached to Democratic Party success. So they sell out the people for their own personal advancement. IMO, they are in fact, traitors.

@@mikeg6069I am 67 and my journey is similar. I was in my 20s with small kids. As I ironed clothes one evening, a documentary was on tv and when I heard Democratic Party affiliation, I almost dropped the iron! Then I began to research. Imagine my shock as the light came on. Slavery, Jim Crow, KKK, all stemmed from the Democratic Party! I could barely believe that the Party I thought was “for us” was the party that did it too us. And I read how after the passage of the 1964 Civil Rights Act (which the Republicans helped Johnson to get passed by 80% Republicans and only 20% Democrats), the same man that famously had the water hoses turned on marchers, then incredibly sought the black vote his next election. Jimmy Carter was the last Democratic president I voted for as I began to realize that their values were so at odds with the ones I held due to my Christian faith. Also, like you, I saw their push for blacks to be reliant on government for their needs (in particular, their brand of government) just as slave masters would often question what would the poor negroes do without us to take care of them. I looked at the platforms and saw I agreed more with the Republicans than Democrats. For a long time I would tell my white friends who were surprised when Blacks would generally vote Democrat but given the opportunity to vote for individual resolutions on a ballot, would vote conservatively on the issues-I would have to explain that Blacks were generally conservative by nature but would then go out and vote Democrat because the Democrats were “for blacks”. But back then, Blacks would not affirm the Democrats’ policies on things like abortion but gradually over time, so many have begun to defend even the liberal policies that blacks absolutely did not stand with given an opportunity to voice their opinion. The reason you and I might be accused of using white talking points is because we have come to the same conclusion based on independent thought and experience just as whites have been free to exercise independent thought.

As someone who grew up in the south during the 80/90's. I went to school, played with and had black friends. I never thought of them as less than me or hated/disliked them because of their skin color. The souths racist views changed with the newer generations of kids growing up together and thinking of each other as the same people who just happen to have different skin colors. As the kids got older and became voters, they found more in common with conservative viewpoints and voted that way. This is why Democrats fought so hard against integration, they knew if white kids started growing up around and became friends with black kids, it wouldn't be so easy to spread the racist views and would lose political power in the south which is exactly what happened.

I have been friends, worked and done business with black people my whole life. The person that I believe can do the best job will always get my vote no matter their race.

Ms. Swain speaks the truth always. Check other videos of her. I was a Democrat until 1992, just following the narrative that they were for the working class. There was a Christian revival going on starting in the 70s on into the 90's. I got caught up in it, praise God. It changed me, and it changed the way I voted from then on. That's what happened in the South, I believe, because, as Jesus says: " How can two walk together unless they agree", and "what fellowship does light have with darkness. Everybody knows the democrats are, as Vince Everett Ellison might say, "the party of liars, sexual deviants, weirdos, and anti Christian bigots".

Please diligently research not only the history but todays Democratic and Republican party as well. Dixiecrats jumped ship to become Republicans after the signing of the 1964 Civil Rights Act. Ask yourself why the 1960's Civil Rights leaders, Jesse Jackson, Andrew Young, the late John Lewis, Julian Bond, Elijah Cummings and Adam Clayton Powell are affiliated with the Democratic party of today and not with the Republican party. Ask yourself why Republicans gutted the 1965 Voting Rights Act and why every house Republican including Byron Donalds, voted against the 2019 John Lewis Voting Rights Act and why Republican lawmakers including Tim Scott, blocked the John Lewis VRA from being brought to the senate floor for a vote. During an interview Ann Coulter said the quiet part out loud, when she stated she wouldn't for Vivek solely because of his ethnicity. Historically Democrats voted for the first black Potus, Vice President and appointed the first black woman on the scotus. Ask which party today is proudly toting confederate flags, fighting to preserve confederate monuments, to keep the names of confederate insurrectionists on our US military bases and schools, which party is trying to reduce the number voters through voter suppression, to making it difficult for students to vote by removing voting locations from universities, not accepting a state issued university ID photo to cast a ballot but allowing a NRA issued photo as a valid form of ID to vote in an election, shortening early voting and having insufficient number of voting booths in Democrat leaning voting locations. Today's GOP is anti-civil rights and anti-democratic. During the 2020 election, Donald Trump pushed to disenfranchise by invalidating votes heavily in black cities. Bernice King sent Doanld Trump and his surrogates a cease-and-desist for using her father Dr. Martin Luther King's images. Ms. Swain and Prager U are MAGA and Ms. Swain wouldn't be able to get away spewing her halfcocked conspiracies at any HBCU.

In 2022 Biden signed into law the Emmett Till Anti-lynching Act and signed an executive for the George Floyd Justice in Policing Act. Biden's American rescue plan allocates $7 billion to our HBCUs and his infrastructure bill allocate billions to replace lead pipes in our black communities in Flint, Benton Harbor Michigan and Jackson Mississippi. ACLU reports racial profiling blacks are disproportionately arrested more than whites 3.2% for marijuana possession of the same us. Biden's pardon of non violent marijuana convictions will empower Blacks applying for employment, college and renting. Biden life term judges are a huge significance in the US criminal justice system. Blacks often receive harsher prison sentences than white for the same offenses. A white male received probation for intentional voter fraud for forging both the signatures on the absentee ballots of his deceased mom and mother-in-law. A Black woman, Crystal Mason recently had her 6 year sentence overturned for a voter error for casting her provisional ballot. Biden's student loan forgiveness will create generational wealth by empowering Blacks as first time home buyers. Biden's PACT Act expands health care benefits to vets who served in Iraq, Afghanistan, Vietnam and first responders from 9-11. Biden's Butch Lewis Act protects the pensions of retirees and workers from reckless employers who file for bankruptcy, like Donald Trump filed 6 times. Donald Trump was allowed to keep millions of dollars by avoiding paying former employees, small business owners and contractors. Biden navigated the US out of a pandemic with access to free Covid home testing kits, free Covid and flu vaccines.

I thoroughly enjoyed your videos, my friends, and I am very proud of the way you make people think hard about finding the truth. By the way, that is one very beautiful baby you have there and may God continue to bless you. Thank you so much!

The paternal side of my family is in Virginia and that half of the family is definitely mostly Democrat. Some of them blocked my bio father on facebook when he became a very vocal Republican in the early 2000's. Even 2 of his sisters. The other 3 didn't. I think all but 1 of his brothers had passed away by then or soon after. Some of the negative things I heard from the older side of the family growing up regarding people of different ethnicities were horrible. My Mom's family have been Republicans since the Civil War and I never heard a derogatory word about *anyone* from them growing up in Arizona. One of my Mom's friends was Hispanic and my sister's best friend in grade school was bi-racial. They were just accepted into the family without a thought. 🤷‍♀️

Virginia is my Home state and it always makes me mad when it goes blue. It used to be a red state in the 80s 90s and early 2000s what changed you might ask. Northern Democrats moving from NY, Philly, etc. because the cost of living is cheaper and voting blue

Love Prof. Swain. Everything she said is actual historical fact. She nearly became the first Republican mayor of my hometown (Nashville TN) a few years ago. Absolutely a shame that she didn't. Nashville's loss🤷🏻‍♂️

OMG! Your baby is too cute! 🥰 God Bless your beautiful family. Thank you for posting these three videos about the two parties. The first two had me questioning the “switch” in the dominance of the Democratic southern states to Republican southern states. I just could not reconcile the change in my own mind. Since we saw slavery as a southern issue, and we currently see the south as being Republican, we viewed the Republican Party as the party of racism and slavery. So now it’s going to take a while to mull this over in my mind so I have a better understanding of what happened in the past and what is currently happening. Thanks so much for the info. I’m working on how I feel about all of this.

I’ve been watching a lot of videos from the black community like yours, Barry Cunningham, the Cartier Family, Candace Owens, etc and I’ve been learning that the black community is doing what Tay&Steph are doing - supporting shared values, good economic policies and looking at who is actually helping. Donald Trump has done more for the black community than many Democrats who take blacks for granted. Time for people to start waking up.

I remember in a south Orange County, CA highschool class in 1990, my teacher tried to tell us this lie but I had just moved from Arizona where we we’re taught the true history, so i schooled her and she let me finish the lesson according to my AZ high school text books. At graduation she gave me the biggest hug and told me i was her favorite rebel

I am a white conservative who lives in California. My favorites for a VP are Donalds, Scott or Rubio. But, any one of Donald Trumps top VP picks will be fine. I vote for people who have my values. Someone's skin color makes no difference to me...never has!

I agree with that historical breakdown as I do the research that’s what I have also concluded so she’s telling the truth. We have to get back on track and start voting for our interest
