Back in ‘69 my family and I spent a couple of weeks at Black Point in a shack up the eastern end as guests of Dean Stringer (ex Red Legs player and footy commentator). Dean had a clinker built boat with a 7.5 horse outboard and we (Dean, my dad, my brother and I) went out on the boat every day. The bay was invariably as smooth as a mill pond and the fishing and swimming was outstanding. We trolled for snook, hooked squid, mullet and whiting and caught blue swimmers. Great days for a 15 year old kid.

Sounds good Gary. I can recall the first time I saw the bay, it was a hot summers day and the water was so blue and like glass. It can be a very pretty location.

In the next week, me & my lady are going to become a mobile roadblock as we head north ourselves for a couple of months, so CB turned on so as to chat with yourself or another ABC colleague. Speaking of the water tower art, recently in Victoria in one town they have used fluoresent paint which shows up at night time when lights shine on it. It wasn't until we fitted the rock tamers that we noticed stones sitting on the caravan gas bottles and the front tool box across the caravan each time we pulled up, said a lot for the rock tamers. Hello Mick and Sally, Love your laid back approach sir, I found you on youtube with your truck videos. Are you producing more of these, they are great videos very informative and allow us to see parts of Australia you don't normally see. I have a question for you, what size wheels are on your caravan, The van sites nice and low to the ground, which is quite refreshing, it must be a breeze to tow with your vehicle. Stay safe both of you, and please keep the videos coming. Robert

Thank you Robert, glad you like the videos. I will do another truck video only when a story presents itself. My current run to Darwin is the same each week with most of it being done in the night hours so to make another one just for the sake of it, the video would only repeat what has already been shown. Our caravan has 15 inch L/T tyres fitted from the factory.

@@justcruisinwithmicksally837 Hi Mick. I have a basic dji drone, Phantom 3, that potentially did a similar thing.
