I agree, mostly, an exciting game and well worth the watch. The wide, wide table worked out pretty well for flank maneuver but not so much for the infantry center where it seemed the shallowness of the battle ground brought the antagonists into contact with little time for maneuver, making it a head to head bashing contest which resulted in the infinite scrum between the Guard units, exciting as it was. I could never really see what was happening on the Russian left, beyond the trees, although that looked to be their greatest hope and would probably have rolled the French up if the game had gone on another 2 or three turns. This is the second battle I've watched where the majority or totality of the French cavalry is wiped out in the first few turns, resulting from essentially the same opening set up. Something a bit wrong there. Nevertheless, thanks for all the work you put in.for the viewers. Much better than games at the club, mostly because of the audio with all the echo and mumble from all the other tables.

we halved movement to allow a little more time before the lines engaged but we are constrained by table width

This is the first game of Hail Caesar Napoleonic I have ever seen, but it is much more exciting than Black Powder and I am amazed you both have any troops left on the table. Looking forward to seeing the conclusion. Dom he has done you like a kipper, forming square and firing! demand a refight to the BP rules 🤣
