Can you not rally off casualties & there by regain moral for shaken troops, example French cavalry shaken and sitting on the table edge waiting to be attacked again and broken ? It doesn't seem like the rally rule is used nearly as often as it could be to maintain units & therefore brigades longer on the table. Did love seeing the Swedish & Wurtenburgers . Am aching to put Perry's Danish on the painting desk. Cheers.

Yes you can recover a unit from shake by moving the commander to the unit and a successful command role. But if the brigade is broken you can’t. The Danish would be great to see!

The French cavalry needed to take a break test for having had casualties from closing fire of the horse guns. a -2 modifier to the test, hit by artillery and disordered. French columns do not get the -2 saving modifier on artillery casualties. You cannot rally disordered troops.
