*You might wanna read this.* Black Prior's crushing counterstrike has a unique and (I think) unintended interaction with external blocks: If you execute Black Prior's crushing counter strike on an external block, damage from the crushing counter strike will be dealt to the opponent you are currently focused on. This is helpful when you're outnumbered and need a specific opponent to die.

I need like, 500 more steel before I can get BP, as he's the last Knight hero I need before I have the entire faction, and while Ubi made the little event where there was a week where BP was free to play, I got him to level 10. One thing I found was, I love him almost as much as Centurion, but more than Gladiator, and he's really good at defending friends and self during ganks. Using his feats to give shielding to a low health teammate while both teams are breaking is incredibly helpful. But, more importantly, a playstyle thing that I found was that doing a light attack, gb for shield bash, and then another light (or heavy) is quite the combo. I've fought many BP's before, and *none* of them used this combo. And then I did, and the died. This combo works for new players, who aren't quite into the "feint everything you do, and gb everything no matter what" and for those who are in that stage of "high level" play, try: light -> shield bash -> heavy feint (any direction) -> side light (usually opposite the side you light attacked the first time from. I'm only rep 13, 2 on Warden, 1 on everyone, (save for BP) and 4 Centurion. So, I'm not an amazing player, but this works, most of the time. If there are any super high rep players, and you try this, tell me how it works! Thanks for reading, and for all factions, good luck on the Faction War. Deus Vult my Knight brethren!

Black Prior is the ‘class’ per say. While Vortiger is the name for this particular male character of said ‘class’. For lore purposes. For example the woman Kensei in the campaign has a name (Ayu), just like all other heroes. I believe the lore is in Ubi’s For Honor website.

Mitch Frost Why is weird? It’s just like a real world military, for example. Each soldier can be called a member of the military (faction). Every one of them has a designated roll and rank (class), infantrymen, medic, engineer; sergeant, private, etc. And each of them has an individual name, but can be called by their respective class or faction.

People keep telling me the most op thing about vortiger is his ability too delay the shield bash... how do heck do you delay his shield bash? I want too main him but I cant figure this out. I really want too kno how too delay the bash. they say its the same thing as conq bash delay but uuh i dont play conq so. ( or are they just talking about the forward dash bash, I can delay that by about 50ms but I didnt think it did anything special, still reactable) even more so actually.

vortigers only damaging attack is normal light and heavy attacks... do you think he is only going too use heavy attacks so you can parry him alll day? no that doesnt make sense ofc he is going too spam light attacks and bash that is his only option.

@@Dustinmaester If those are his only things then use them as you see fit, more power to the character. However, when he has a shield Bash that rewards him with 20 damage while being safe we've got a problem. If he throws a neutral light then 90% of the time I will parry it, yeah, I got good and learnt how to parry them. However, when he has a tool that is either reward or neutral then that is a problem. If on a read I manage to dodge his bash I gain nothing. Warlord on a whiffed headbutt is at least hit with a Dodge attack at most guard broken for massive damage. Every tool in the game has a certain danger associated with it. 400Ms lights trade fast damage for a huge punish. Dodge attacks, in most cases, save you from taking damage while countering yourself although they can be baited and punished. Bashes, used to, put you in a state of danger. Guaranteed damage and/or combo potential while not bring able to protect yourself on a missed attack. Example, headbutt and predator' s hunger. There is no trade-off with Black Prior's shield Bash, that is what I'm not fine with. His bulwark stance trades potentially 30 damage for a guard break, his bash, nothing. 20 damage for neutral game against 90% of the cast. A bad Player yes, he will put himself in OoS for spamming it but in my case that I play Berserker as of late, I have no way of draining his stamina beside parties and GBs, both of which you cannot land against a Bash spamming good Player. To put it shortly, when used by a decent Player the shield bash is an unpunishable tool. Outrageous! Yeah, and warlord my dead main does 12 damage.

For the monk be highly mix up intensive and aggressive. For tiandi that uses long dodge alot just wait till he's close to the end and throw a heavy if you play something with decent reach. For light spam/palm strike tiandi you'll need to block and dodge alot and get hits in where you can while parrying any heavies he throws or one of the lights if you're confident in your timing. These strategies work well for me on xbox at a decently high skill level and a 40-150 rep level Oh and i main warden warlord and conq if that helps at all with what these strategies work for. Conq and warlord have a little trouble connecting the heavy at the end of the long dodge so better to all block into counter with them.

Try getting out of a gank against a group of the new shugoki then. You're bound to get hit by at least one hug into death or hit by a charged unblockable and lose half your health or just have one raider grab you and all his teammates hit you and you insta die. Theres always a bigger fish

@SA80SLAYER not sabo vortiger needs a nerf, here's a example, warlords headbutt is slower than BP sheild bash, warlords lights only do 12 damage ,BP does 20, BP has a 200 ms light, warlord heabutt is punishable with a Dodge and GB, BP shield bash is safe asf, 4 lights from BP is 80 damage, 4 lights from warlord is 48 damage, their both heavies, how TF is that fair. BP needs a sheild bash, light damage , and light speed nerf.

I found that the hard way :( Got destroyed, as expected, as a beginner in multiplayer so I played a lot of the campaign, cranked up the difficulty, and while I enjoyed it I then got back in mp and found several of the characters play very differently lol
