Thankful for KEXP's venue. Love the Black Pumas! About 5 years ago, a small (5-week old) black kitten wandered into our yard one day and clearly communicated that he wanted to live with us. I was blasting Colors while driving with my wife from Maryland to NY, after an interview for a job that would change our lives forever. The NYC streets were empty because of this virus that was starting to spread. Little did I know that the virus would take away that opportunity and change our lives forever in quite a different way. Hearing these folks for the first time. Been listening to KEXP from not Seattle since the early 2000s. Great music. Also, have to say...soooo refreshing that these folks look like regular ol' folks that you might walk by on the street and wouldn't do a double take. Too many new musicians are more style than substance.
