Kiwanuka and Jon Batiste are the only artists’ I’d pay to see these days, real musicians, real songwriters, real singers.

I saw Michael perform in Washington, DC. Feb.2020 just weeks before the Covid shutdown. I would pay to see him again. However, there are so many great performers who are not pop artist that I would pay to see. My list The Black Pumas, Marcus King, Robert Cray, Lucas Nelson, The Teskey Brothers, October London, The Revivalist, St. Paul and the Broken Bones, Lee Fields, Chris Stapleton, Leon Bridges, on and on and on.

I was walking in the London tube train system when in one of the tunnels heading towards Bank platform I heard this loud noise behind me. Two lads walked past heading in the same direction as myself. The voice of the unknown artist was outstanding! I spoke to this chap playing his tunes out loud and asked who was the artist playing and he said Micheal Kiwanuka singing Cold Heart. I was hooked and had to fined out more and the rest, they say, is History!!

Haven't heard such soulful, emotion-inducing music in such a long time.
