On Friday, February 26th at 7 pm Crab Devil hosted an author's talk with Tampa authors Ben Montgomery and K. Stephen Prince. Montgomery's "A Shot in the Moonlight: How a Freed Slave and a Confederate Soldier Fought for Justice in the Jim Crow South" and Prince's "The Ballad of Robert Charles
Searching for the New Orleans Riot of 1900" each tell their own stories of Black armed resistance to Southern mob violence and Jim Crow.
