MD Yes, I’ve made and used fermented organic white rice w/tea tree oil added to mask the smell🤓 I’d begun seeing breakage like I hadn’t seen since transitioning. After my 1st use I quickly noticed the shedding diminish almost immediately. Now I’m using it about every 3 weeks. I’m excited to try the black rice to avoid that putrid odor❤️tfs

I ❤ the results with rice water. One thing that I've noticed when scrolling through comments regarding rice water is that some people are following others blindly. If your hair feels hard after using rice water, deep condition it. Condition it afterwards even if it doesn't feel hard. If your scalp is itching, it could need clarifying (especially at the crown) or it could require moisture (especially if chemicals or heat was used in the recent past). Take a mirror and see for yourself, regardless of what anyone else says. Protein can be drying on the scalp. It'll be even worse if your scalp is already dry to start with. Maybe try adding tea tree oil, pure aloe and/or an orange rind. Add essential oils that address your needs even if you don't have scalp issues because there's no sense in walking around smelling like a doo doo head. Like, why... Why? Once fermentation has started, refrigerate the water. And make smaller batches. It really doesn't have to smell bad. If your scalp is itching and red or you think you're having a reaction, well... maybe it's a no for you. :( Not everything is for everyone. We do so much for our hair in our quest for *our* holy grail products. I hate to hear of people losing inches while still on the discovery process. These videos are awesome and very helpful, but listen to YOUR hair the most.

Maybe you should do a porosity test on your strands, you may have high porosity and caring for your hair like it's low porosity... It don't matter your texture type, but knowing your liquid absorbance level is key to taking better care of your hair... for me I have low porosity hair but I was taking care of my hair like you take care of it if you have high porosity so my hair would only grow so long once I tested it and found out I switched it up and now my hair is growing again... I do use rice water treatments (but I haven't yet started black rice water I will soon) they it does work but because I have low porosity hair, I can't use as much protein on my hair but if you have high porosity you can use protein on your hair more...

I have eaten black rice and I personally love it. You can actually buy it in any organic store, i always got mine from Whole Foods. I have not heard of a black rice water treatment for the hair, i also didn’t really think about it. But i am going to definitely try it, my hair craves moisture! I don’t like the white rice treatment because it stinks and no matter what you add to it it still stinks and the smell takes forever to get rid of. I will try the black rice water treatment and tell you how it works for me. Thank you for the video 🤍

A girl on KZbin name Selina Zinchuk got a massive growth from her black rice water challenge. I never knew there were such thing as black rice until I saw her video. She has a lot of video's on it. Just curious how did you come across it? I want to try it but a bit afraid because I am low porosity.

I am low porosity and have tried black rice and had very noticeably good results. It definately reduced the shedding during my wash day. I will only use once a month though I am not certain about using it as a leave in but may experiment. I would recommend you try it as I am very happy with the results.

I have low porosity hair and I use rice water on my scalp every day and on all my hair twice a month (I'm planning on😁). I've started a week ago and I've never ever had my hair that shiny and strong. When I put it on all my hair I deep condition for 1hour before adding the rice water (as it will fully close your cuticles) so it stays moiturized after the rice water. You should give it a try

Well I've been eating black rice for years and shaving my hair for half a decade. Now that I kind of want to grow my hair back I think I might just use the black rice water on my hair and see how it goes. My hair grows 0.6 inch in a month ( which is very slow ) but I don't have patience to deal with it so I just keep shaving it. Let's see. Great video btw.

You could use 1/2 the rice..put it in a food processor to powder it up and use that with filtered water.for the same results.the starch is what you poured down the drain thats what helps your hair....
