I was suffering from my heart skipping a beat. My vitD3 was at 7. I self ministered 10000 units a day. My concerned Dr . 4:57 had my blood tested every 8 weeks. In less than ninety days my levels went to normal and my heart quit mis-firing. I'm now traveling to Central America as a missionary and feeling way better. It worked for me. @Stiflers__Mom7 ай бұрын
I had hair loss and started using a lash serum in the bald areas and it grew back. I tried Rogaine/Minoxidil and the pill form as well. I was allergic to the pill as it caused me to have an itchy and burning scalp. My head felt like I had fire ants all over it even if I tried Benadryl. After I read the bottles of Rogaine/Minoxidil and 3 treatments of it, I discontinued its use. It says if you stop using it, your hair falls out. I didn’t want something I had to use in my hair and make it feel greasy and nasty forever (plus it’s expensive). The lash serum was the best solution. I have added Vitamin D since I’ve always been low on it. My hair started falling out after I had gamma knife brain surgery for a brain tumor and a hysterectomy at the age of 43. You don’t have to spend a ton of money on a lash serum. Check the ingredients. (I used one by Younique as well as one by Rodan & Fields. R&F is the same thing as Lastisse which is about $130/mo and also advertised as a cosmetic treatment. Younique brand has the same makeup and is 1/2 the price of the R&F one. Target also sells some brands that are $7 with high ratings and the same ingredients as well. So you don’t have to spend a fortune. I prefer the wand from Younique as it is like a mascara wand. R&F is more like a tiny paintbrush.)

I’ve been on a journey to raise my iron levels as well and I would highly recommend learning to incorporate beef liver into your diet. It’s not called nature’s multivitamin for nothing. I believe it is the single highest dietary source of heme iron, which is the form best absorbed by our bodies. It’s kinda gross tasting in my opinion but you can take desiccated beef liver in supplement form. I hope this helps somebody!

I’ve been taking 5000 IUs D3 with 100 mcg K2 daily for 4 months. I was taking only D3 at a lower dosage for years but couldn’t tell a difference in anything. I have Limited Scleroderma and taking a hormone blocker after having breast cancer surgery. (Cancer free…yay!) I have been losing hair since 2009 from medication. I hoped I was taking enough D3, but now after listening to your information I’m glad that’s what I ordered. I still have problems sleeping if I don’t take something to help. I’m trying now to eliminate sugar and lower inflammation. I have so much going on and the biggest is fighting calsinosis in my fingers. Dr.,Most doctors don’t pay any attention to vitamin levels, which is frustrating. Many don’t mind giving patients medications that cause even more problems, but anything natural; they don’t care about! That’s just the world we live in now!! 😔
@mmj1195 Жыл бұрын
If you want natural remedies, then go to a naturopath and not a medically trained physician. Both have very different training styles and purpose. In an ideal world we should have best of both. No medicine is without side effects. There is always a risk of life threatening allergic reaction for example, exactly like an accident with driving. It’s up to us to make our own choices. There is no point blaming health professionals.
@PatriciaR.E. Жыл бұрын
@@mmj1195 Oh yes, I blame a lot on “so called Health Professionals!.”However; I put my trust in Jesus, because He’s our Healer; not doctors. I’m literally broken all to pieces because of a hit & run accident that almost killed me, & have had so many surgeries that just made me worse. I have had more tests & been tried on so many medications that I lost count! I’m also allergic to 99% of all medications & am currently on Hospice Home Care. I often wonder if something natural would help with the chronic pain I live in 24/7! Only one doctor in 27 years has checked my vitamin/ mineral levels & she resigned years ago. That was my point to begin with. Lord bless you mmj.❤️👏🕊
@libertybell7145 Жыл бұрын
I agree with most of the replies (the 2 replies directly below your own comment. HOWEVER, I do disagree that we should not blame the "medical professionals", the doctors/MD. The EDUCATION OF today's MDs is horribly inadequate and Biased Against anything Natural. They are Taught to Prescribe PHARMACEUTICALS despite every known side effects that damage people. In addition, the Big Pharma gives MDs various (and expensive) perks to entice them to buy anything & everything the Pharm industry creates....& falsifies results in various ways. Pharm Salesmen go to ALL MD offices for various reasons. MDs no longer even think about ethics much less follow any & do NOT critically think & make their own choices. I've wprked with MDs in their offices & in other settings. I am simply reporting what I've SEEN.

When I turned 40 I noticed my hair was thinning. After working indoors for years it was noticeable. Then I was indoors even more when I became caregiver to my mother. I went out less and less as her health declined. It's thinner on the top of my head. I keep my hair pulled up to make it less obvious, but sometimes I'd like to wear it down. I don't sleep well, but I'm grieving my parents, more recently my mother. That's a big factor because I am working on improving my self care so I can feel better and do better.

Thank you, Dr. Mandell for putting this information out. A misconception about vitamin D is that if I sit out in the sun I don’t need to take any vitamin D. I’m getting it from the sun. But as we get older, we don’t absorb vitamin D as we did when we were younger. We also are wearing sunscreen that prevent us absorbing vitamin D. Four years ago, I started losing my hair. My body hurt. I had memory loss and brain fog I was depressed. I had lethargy and disinterested in everything around me. I had routine bloodwork, and I had high calcium levels and I had low vitamin D, but my doctor say that’s not enough to worry about. But with my hair started falling out, I finally went to my doctor and said run every blood test known to mankind. My vitamin D levels were not existent which contributes to all those symptoms. He put me on 6000 a day and he said I could take up to 10,000. And I’ve seen an improvement in the pain and in the memory loss and the brain fog and hopefully my hair will start coming back in. But I want to throw out there because sometimes we have to be the best steward of our own health. If you have these symptoms and you have high calcium, have your doctor run a PTH blood test. What also was contributing to all my symptoms was I had hyperparathyroidism. I had two tumors on my four parathyroid glands. I had them removed and I was getting better, but that’s when my vitamin D was going low and all the symptoms came back. What I learned from you is how to take them properly. I didn’t realize I needed to take it with a fatty meal. Thank you very much for putting out all this information. You can’t seem to get it from your own doctors office! So hopefully my hair will start growing back, my body aches, and my memory loss and fatigue has improved! Good luck to everyone but this issue!

My hair is on my clothes, shower drain, it’s even on my vacuum “roller” and has to be cleared from that, I see my scalp right above my forehead as well as overall thinning. I came down with an upper respiratory illness in September that lasted 3-months that settled in my sinuses and Eustachian tubes (which has also affected my hearing) in addition to a great deal of stress and lack of sleep. I need to review my eating habits that are usually good, but everything has been off since this illness and stress entered my life. I will increase my daily D and recently re-added magnesium (that usually gives me terrible headaches) at night, and see how things pan out. I’m on BP meds (clonidine and verapamil) too so don’t know if those components are adding to the stress dramatic hair loss adds to my daily life. I am 73 and have noticed changes this year in overall strength, immune system changes, hair loss, etc. Thank you for the thorough explanation and everything you give and do for us. Deeply appreciative.

So, perhaps that's part of your Vitamin D problem (and the NAFLD may be the underlying cause of your (presumed) inflammation. His lectures/interviews on you tube &/or books may be helpful to you also in improving/resolving? your fatty liver! He's pretty engaging and fascinating to listen to too, in addition to being very sound on sugars.
