I love Dio (as all metalheads do) but honestly…Tony Martin’s voice is RIGHT THERE in terms of greatness as far as I’m concerned. The poor guy had the unfortunate luck of following two iconic metal frontmen and at a time when Iommi was churning through bandmembers at a ridiculous rate (the coke didn’t help matters), but Martin gave 100% in the studio and contributed brilliant vocals to some criminally overlooked albums.

I am a Black Sabbath fan of the Dio and Martin's(Ray Gillen) eras. I can count on my fingers how many times i listened to a Sabbath Ozzy Era song sung by Ozzy. So i can say that all of Martin's albums are awesome.

Totally agree. Dio and Tony are the best. I prefer TYR one million times than Paranoid. I can't stand Ossie whining all the time, he just couldn't sing, he was pathetic and boring, so he was, by far, Sabbath's worst singer ever. Ossie is the most overrated guy in heavy metal history. I had all of his Sabbath albums on vinyl and thrown all of them away

LOVE THIS ALBUM! Cozy's thunderous, varied fills are majestic and Tony's vocals are sublime. Easily my second favourite Sabbath singer after Dio (I might've revised my opinion if Ray Gillen had stayed but I guess if he did, we'd have never had Badlands...). Hope Tony Iommi does something with Tony Martin again, a few shows or new music. Could even draft in Neil Murray and Bobby Rondinelli ❤

I think this song definitely benefits the modern listener. I mean I know there are tons of people who loved this when it came out but for some people who were born after this or maybe checked out of sabbath after ozzy or dio part 1 this song really is excellent and should be considered among sabbath’s best.
