KZbin could never give you the sounds of those mounted amps blowing your eardrums to shit, the energy of the crowd , the pounding of the drums and the fact that this was new music never to make a come back... Such a pivotal point in time when it comes to music..true musicians who are masters of there crafts... Plus the drugs where SOOO much better...

I’ve listened to countless stoner rock bands- Kyuss, Sleep, King Gizzard, Stonefield, Uncle Acid, Acid Sisters, etc etc but none of them come close to that “stoner” sound as sabbath, it was in their blood. The evolved hippie, one who instead of turning the other cheek burns the whole damn place down!

My dad saw them with VH in '78. He said "VH blew them out of the water". To be fair, Ozzy was getting out of hand, and Bill was in the throws of alcohol addiction, and Van Halen was the "new kid" that really needed to give 110% to not be overshadowed by Sabbath. Both great bands by their own merit, but Sabbath is in a league all their own.

Saw them in concert in 1979 at the Swing Auditorium, San Bernardino CA for the Never Say Die tour. One of the best concerts I have ever seen. It was simply amazing.

Saw black sabbath and ozzy's bands from 1981 blizzard of ozz..to recent black sabbath 3 different albums. ozzfest❤❤❤❤. When I was 5 brought the first album to show n tell . Teacher was like .. are you sure.. 😊🤘😈👿 with a big smile o shook my head yes . Ty mrs breabeck. Ty Becky Hagen for bringing me to all OZZFEST SHOWS. TY TO MY HUSBAND who brought me to all the black sabbath shows my life was good I'm 55 in april❤ I love you ozzy . Even got your name on my knuckles 👊

I had the pleasure of meeting these guys when they did their Reunion album with all 4 original members got back together after 20 years in 1998 and have their autographs, spoke to them shook their hands because they did a 8 city cd signing of Reunion and came to Boston for one. Then 4 months later they came back to Boston to do a concert. The stars aligned for me.

I was lucky enough to see Black Sabbath on this tour at the Cape Cod Coliseum in September of 1978.Van Halen backed them up and were just getting radio play on Boston WBCN.Long live the heavy metal Kings ❤

Jeez, brings back sooooooo much memories. When VHS video was still on the market, I used to hire the video like continuesly from our local video store. Almost made the video my OWN!!!😂 Just started to get interested in drums( PILLOW in your lap and Chinese eating sticks as drumsticks....!!!) Bill WARD...MAN, this is still GOOSEFLESH stuff!!!! It’s so incredible. For those who don’t know the idea of this song was that they wanted to do something scary, because before they were just doing covers of blues and stuff, the songs just about a man who meets a scary hooded figure but little did they know that they would create a new genre of music. #legends

I saw Sabbath on that tour. The mighty Van Halen was the opening band. If you missed it well, sorry about that. Some say Van Halen blew Sabbath off the stage. I didn't think so but what an awesome show.

Their first album was a monster waiting to be unleashed upon the world, it littlerally changed the music industry over night, its heavy, thudding, dark sound crushed the peace and loves sixties and ushered in a new era of hard rock. I think it was there best album, followed by sabbath bloody sabbath coming in a close second.
