I really liked how this new re-armored helmet looked in the show, promo pics and the box art, but out the box, it looked a bit underwhelming. I will say whatever lighting you have when you're sitting in front of the camera in the 2nd half of the vid makes it look a lot better than the overhead un-boxing section.

I did add some post color grading and with the lighting did make it look better! I think that’s the same thing done on the show….I maybe have someone repaint it though lol

It definitely depends on the lighting. Personally, it looks pretty accurate, when light was shining on the helmet in the show, you could tell it was a lighter green, but when there wasn’t as much, it looks darker, just like it did when you put it on. But the weathering was a bit unnecessary

Your 100% correct mean a good amount of scenes he wasn’t in direct sunlight which caused the helmet to look a lot darker so that would make a lot of sense. The box art does make it appear like it’s darker and I guess some of us expected to be darker based off of that, I wouldn’t mind some weathering but it was excessive.

After watching the first episode of the book of boba fett there was moments where I felt the color was accurate….the lighting and post color grading really changes the look.

I don’t think you’re being overly nitpicky with the color. I’m honestly kinda shocked with the way the helmet looks, especially the way the distressing and weathering on it is. Like in my opinion it looks like a lesser quality when compared to the ESB version or even the Deathwatch helmet that just came out recently. I feel like it just doesn’t meet the expectations I have based on the rest of the releases.

I have the original HBS BF helmet and the Death Watch version, as well as The Mandalorian helmet, so I think I'll pass on this one, for this is now the fourth 'repaint' of this mold.

I think I would of liked it better if it was a re-paint of the Book of Boba Fett, it looks like it’s darker with some noticeable scratch marks. Love my mando helmet

I like it better than in the original pictures of it actually. Not sure what it was, but something about the pictures made it look weird. I’m planning a cosplay of his Book of Boba Fett outfit, so this is a must-have. (Even though I already have the Empire version)

For me it was pretty loose, the straps just didn’t work very well for me. I bought some motorcycle pads from Amazon and it worked great for my Mando helmet! Check out my recent review of my mando helmet, I showed a comparison between the strap and using the helmet pads!

My opinion on this helmet can be summarised with a quote from Star Wars "I don't like it. I don't agree with it. but I accept it." (I kinda agreeish with the colours I don't really have a problem with the shape and like the attempt for it it could maybe use it for a cosplay as Boba Fett

Esb version is wider, same with on screen, Rotj had a slimmer helmet, same with Mandalorian/Book of Boba Fett.

It’s definitely slimmer then on ESB and ROTJ on screen….but hasbro has just been reusing the same molds for all of their mandalorian helmets with the obvious exception of the mando helmet. I’m just referring to their mold seems slimmer.

For a black series the quality is GREAT! One spot it does feel and look cheap is the viewfinder. The way the view finder drops and bounces makes it look cheap. I recently reviewed the Bo katan helmet and showed the improvements made with the view finder between the two!

I feel like I'm taking crazy pills because I keep hearing how the right's colors are wrong...but I'm looking at Boba Fett photos right now from ESB and ROJ and the colors on the right are way more accurate than the colors on the left. Granted, his helmet is scuffed up in ESB and ROJ, so the left is more accurate in that sense. But in terms of colors, the lighter green on the right is way more accurate.

It looks like the original uses Krylon Matte Spanish moss green and the new one is more like matte olive drab or army green.

That actually spot on, when it’s in a well lit area including outside it’s very light…but in darker areas it look more accurate to the show…I’m sure the book of boba fett is gonna be good so I’ll end up lovin it! I appreciate it, I’m trying! Lol

I am a bit disappointed with the new helmet...the green is too light and the burgundy is too saturated. The brown weathering is poorly done and the scratches look comical. From a distance with darker lighting it looks alright....I kept thinking is it just me. But when I opened the Mandalorian helmet my first impression was ...yes this is awesome. Gonna trust my gut. Probably gonna sell it or return it. Wish they matched the box art.

It’s black series what do you expect? Besides, in the mandalorian season 2 the paint job is slightly more Teal than it is his usual green in the book of boba fett. Sometimes that happens in films/TV shows in the prop area. They cant always get the same maker to make them. Hence why he has 2 different sets of coloured armour in ESB and ROTJ. If your after a movie accurate piece, look at EFX, Master replicas, or Dueno Novo.

I understand it is Black Series but if you take a look at the ESB Boba Helmet and Mandalorian Helmet....even Death Watch. Which I own all 3. It is clearly not up to the quality Black Series set for themselves. The item should match what is on the box and product photos.

Tbh I had the exact same issue to, so I removed the head strap and inserted some motorcycle helmet pads I found on Amazon. Totally worth it!

The helmet is not any narrower. It just appears slimmer due to the color scheme. They used the same helmet and repainted it. It still looks nice to me for the money.

The original's colors are wrong. Go look at Boba Fett from ESB and ROJ. The one of the right has much more accurate colors. Granted, his helmet in ESB and ROJ is scuffed up, which makes the one of the left more accurate in that sense. But the one on the right is much more accurate in terms of colors, particularly the lighter green. The green on the left helmet is way too dark and blends in with the other sections too much. The yellow kill marks are also too bright on the left helmet while the right has them correctly darker.

The colors are unfortunately inaccurate. The colors on the box are actually more accurate then the actual helmet. Definitely noticeable in person

You can tighten the strap to its smallest setting, it may or may not fit depending on the size you’ll need.
