I really love how the joints and swivels in the legs are hidden and integrated that they don’t break up the sculpt. Definitely one of the best Black Series for me.

What a complete "banger" of a figure, absolutely gorgeous ,one of my most anticipated figures of the year.The head sculpt is fantastic and new which was a great surprise. The only gripe i have is that when the lightsaber is connected it looks far too long but apart from that a stellar figure, love it.Awesome review Nate

This figure looks awesome. It took me a while to come around on that headsculpt, but seeing how good this guy looks in hand really changed my mind, and I actually did finally go ahead and preorder him. Hopefully he doesn't have a ton of QC issues, since it seemed like there were a few little mishaps on yours, but even with that the figure looks pretty fantastic. Great review, and keep up the great content!

Excellent figure! Will bring a nice close to my windowed in-box collection. RIP boxed Black Series. Now it’s time to adapt to PFP, saving money by cutting back on duplicates, and bringing on the one-and-done era. I’ll probably only double dip in the future when a figure comes with a removable helmet and I feel like displaying him/her/it helmet on/off. As always loved the story/video behind tracking this wave down. Should be a nice wave despite having to drop $25 for a standalone Grogu (that will be by far Hasbro’s biggest heist ever in the Black Series line).

Great review! I can't wait to get this figure. I've been looking forward to a Black Series Clone Wars Maul ever since the Black Series became a thing. My only nitpick is that the red on the torso doesn't match the red on the face. I wonder why they made it like that? It would have been such an easy fix with a slightly darker red. Either way, though, this Maul is fantastic. ^^

While it’s not exactly a close match, I may have a new use for the throne room chair that came with the deluxe version of Snoke. When Maul took over Mandalore, there were several scenes of him lounging on a big throne-like seat in that big hall room, a la Game Of Thrones style. This version of Maul will look killer on my shelf sitting on that throne with his red colored Mandalorian goons surrounding him. Just a thought. Gonna need a couple of these Mauls to setup some classic scenes with Ahsoka, Bo Katan, and hell even old man Kenobi from Rebels (final death scene). Yummy. This figure is gonna get a lot of shelf space! 😁

I've been waiting for this figure for years. Maul' my favorite Star Wars character, and this design reflects my favorite version of the character. I would've liked a scowling head, but I think what we got does reflect his angry yet confident personality pretty well, and as you said you can pull off a lot of attitude in the poses. I really liked the archive Phantom Menace version we got, awkward legs and all, but this is definitely my main display version now. My only issues are mine has a small splotch of the horn paint on the face, and even though they don't do it in the line, I'd have loved some alternate force wielding hands. Still though, it's an awesome figure, and I found someone on eBay who made a custom Mandalorian throne that I just might have to get for this guy. Great review.

It’s a great figure but I’m on the side that the head should look like the character in the program that it’s been taken from. If it’s the phantom menace then live action is good, but if it’s the clone wars then it should look like the animated maul character IMHO.

That's understandable but the Black Series has mostly never done that...one of the biggest exceptions being the 2020 clone troopers. Even the Rebels characters were done in a "live action" sort of way. Especially Zeb. Thanks for checking out the review, Simon! -Justin

It’s too bad hasbro continues to give black series the shaft with paint apps. This looks good but missing a lot of paint apps that are present on the TVC version. On that Mechanical legs are actually painted metallic silver and his tunic has a dry brush to bring out the sculpt details. This is what’s missing on the black series. The legs being grey plastic and not silver is a turn off

I guess I’ll wait for him to go on sale if I can even get him on sale. I’m just so annoyed that hasbro doesn’t force their Black Series team to give their figures double jointed elbows and knees. The hinge swivels we get are so 15 years ago. I think for the time being I have to continue collecting the Bandai model kits cause at least those have decent articulation.

I think the deep-cut single joints are better than the pinned double-jointed. The Black Series used to actually have double-jointed articulation for the most part but they did away with it. Now if they could do pinless double-jointed, then I'm all in! -Justin

Got comic and this but haven't opened either yet. I still think the heads look tiny though? Gutted I passed on orange box Maulio a few years back. Never been a massive fan of his and was "outraged" by the "outrageous" price of 22 quid, when other bs figs in the shop were 18. This was the same day I passed on the f/o tie fighter mib for 50 quid in the same shop so it really does stick in my mind as a shit day for my collection!! I managed to pick up a nite-bro warr-rhior yesterday, randomly for 11 quid from a sports wear shop!?? so I now have 3 spiky heads to open. Quality overview as per usual Naterado!

A great deal my friend I'm very happy for you. Yeah the friend I was speaking about is currently my oldest friend (longest I've known 20+ years) that I stay in contact with other than my younger sister's husband but he is family. He and I worked at a Walmart in different sections, one day I was walking by his area and he said an unusual word I recognized from a book series I had read years before and so I stopped and asked him about it and he was referring to the books also that he loved so we almost instantly became friends. He lives about an hour away and with the high fuel cost and my medical conditions it's hard to get together sometimes. And we definitely have very different political views. Trying to look objectively at my situation maybe I'm being to selfish, I don't know. I'll figure it out eventually. Thanks for listening to my nonsense my friend.
