I am very tuned to see next movie (yes, movie) from this series and how/which steps to go and what to skip to get the best result for the money or time. I am not professinal, but made my neighbour's 10 years old Volvo V70 which was washed several times during these 10 years. I am not planning to repeat that make over with Cquarts UK 3.0 as a final step after 70+ hours I have put my hands on, but want to learn what I can change (not at that exact case) in similar situations and how to work with such cars. Great video Sandro, great explanation, great advices. Thanks for all this and please keep going! Cheers from rainy Sweden.

We had a young woman driving that model Pajero in heavy rain spin off the highway at the top of the hill and onto my dad's farm and through the barb wire fence into the horse paddock. Dad got a phone call from a local truckie, and we went up there expecting a broken fence. Somehow she went through the fence backwards, 2 wires went under the car and 2 went over, 3 star pickets were flattened but the fence was still up. She was lucky the car stopped about a few inches from one of the massive rocks on the hill and the grass was wet otherwise the car would have definitely rolled over like the past 5 or so 4X4's over the years. There was deep scratches from the barb wire up the back, along the whole roof and bonnet.
@CarCraftAutoDetailing3 жыл бұрын
Sounds like it could have definitely been much worse! Great to hear that given the circumstances the damage and driver were ok!
@Dropbear2373 жыл бұрын
@@CarCraftAutoDetailing yeah she was so lucky. I drove the car for her to our place after emergency services done there job and I washed the grass and mud from the suspension and wheels looked for any sort of damage, I could not find any apart from the rear tyres were almost bald I'm 100% certain they caused the accident and she was using the cruise control. If you hit a large puddle the car slows down a bit and the cruise control doesn't know what's happening so it goes to speed up, worn out tyres break traction and the rear wheels try to overtake the front. I have experienced this a few times when I was younger but I just automatically stop the cruise control without realising and prevent it from spinning out. Not everyone thinks like that but I do try to let others know how they can avoid it if I can.

Good stuff, Sandro! I'm a long time subscriber, but I've changed my name in order to have a bit more privacy online. My profile pic remains the same, though, so you MIGHT recognize it. Man ever since you made the video on that Economax clay cloth, I've wanted it but they won't ship to Puerto Rico. I think they only ship within Australia. Anyway, I've done MANY black cars that are as beat up (and many even significantly more trashed than this one, if you can believe it), mostly being Mercedes Benz. Every single time I've thought "okay, this time I REALLY won't be able to save it, it's too far gone" and each time I've proven myself wrong and been both confused and astonished at the results after a long battle. Once I had an owner that had a black Merc GLK 350 that was absolutely HAMMERED, like this Pajero but worse in regards to having some deep scratches that went down to the primer in areas. It also had many scratches that I looked at and went "that's clearly not gonna come out". I always end up impressing myself and those scratches that I thought would never come out, I'm still able to mostly remove and the parts that I don't remove, I round off well enough to where they're hidden and even inside in "the lab" as I like to call it, the car looks amazing, let alone when I take it out to the sun where it's bright as hell everywhere and not just dark with a few defect spotting lights on, and the cars look absolutely incredible every time. After I did his GLK, he then brought in an E class that was also black and was in about the same shape. Some of these clients just buy up repo'd cars off of auctions to get them on the cheap and then bring them in to get detailed. They end up dropping a grand on the detail but they still end up saving money cuz they get em so cheap at the auction. I know you're not going all out on this one, but I'm sure it'll still end up looking amazing and the customer will be absolutely thrilled :)
@CarCraftAutoDetailing3 жыл бұрын
Yes I agree that I still sometimes get surprised at what seriously bad scratches do end up coming out and the thing about trashed paint is that it’s always easier to make a big improvement because when you hit rock bottom there’s only one way to go! Well done in on restoring the paint on those cars, as it’s definitely a lot of work and takes a lot of good judgement and skill to do it right!

Hey Sandro I’m a detailer run my own business in geelong. Now I currently use Bowdens products and of cause their snow foam .. would it be better to switch to car pro lift for a snow foam and much higher end products if I’m wanting to gain that higher end look? Or should I just stick to what I do and continue to use Bowdens. I have taken on board some of your videos and bought some lake country buffing pads and use some of the chemicals ect that you use. However I’m just not sure what products I should move too. :) thanks in advance :)

It’s hard to say what is going to work and be best for each individual detailer as we all work differently with different needs and outcomes. I do encourage you to try some different products and then compare the experience, cost, value and outcome to what you’re currently using and make a well informed decision as to whether they are in fact better or not for you and your business specifically. I know it’s probably not the answer you were after but it’s really the only way to discover what the best products for you are.

Holy crap maan. I don't know why you started out in this business!! No matter what video you make , the only things you can hear is : time limit , time frame , i don't do this i don't do that , time frame again. WTF?? Let's be seroius , washing a car is not rocket science!! And the most annoying thing is that you only want to "clean" totally clean and new cars , wich don't need detailing at all. People want to see transformations!! That's what detailing is all about. Basically as I understand , you charge 1 million dollars to clean a brand new car , that is bullshit! Sorry but things don't work like you say. See , the magic happens when you pull in a totally trashed car , and 10 hours later it comes out as new!! Spitting words and working 100 hours on detailing a brand new car with a few dustspots here and there for a big sum of money is ABSOLUTELY NON SENS!!
