Honestly similar, I was in an abusive relationship from 16yrs old to 17yrs old. I didn’t have any self identity I was who he wanted to be, my teacher did what she could to separate us so she made me her computer art class student teacher and let me do what ever I wanted. I started looking up music my sister listened to and found this exact song, it was finally something I liked. I listened to this exact song over and over again, then more of their music and found bands I enjoyed. I found myself and started to let people know what was going on with me and got the courage to finally leave him, and never go back. No matter what, even if I never listened to this band again they will forever be my favorite band because they helped me so much.
