Very apt description of the grain pattern of the knot 🤣 You and Donnie Swamp Sawyer have convinced me to make some cants out of old pine...so far so good!

You wouldn’t believe after cutting and stacking all those cants, they are all sold now. Sawn into boards anyway, but it really speeds up your log selection when cutting for customers that want certain sizes, also no waste when you do them into boards. One of the best things I’ve done, thanks to Swamp Sawyer.

That’s a huge mantle you’re talking about. I always love milling black walnut. Have to wear a respirator when I do.

I enjoy cutting, have a lot more to cut too. That’s sawdust will mess with your sinuses for real.
