That is one dirty pool. I use to have an 18' round metal side pool. I had problems in summer keeping it in balance. When it rains, you have to shock it afterwards. Mine went green and i worked hard to turn it blue again. Never had mine look like that. As someone said, leaves from a tree. Get a cover for your pool in fall and winter.

As a professional, is it better to keep an above ground pool filled all year? Or would it be better to empty it during fall and winter and keep it covered?
@Newberntrains3 жыл бұрын
Most pools are better left filled to some degree due to how they are designed they are very flimsy when empty and prone to damage
@scemolivvy Жыл бұрын
NO. Empty it!!! STORE in garage or shed covered and PROTECTED from bugs biting it and tearing HOLES. It’s a pain in the ass to winterize it! We forgot to put our cover on and we STILL got a nasty pool! Draining it currently and preparing for deep clean. It’s such a bigger pain to clean it and “fix” it than to set up a CLEAN pool and fill and add needed chemicals!

Have you seen this heavy duty vacuum from SkyVAC?? Partridge Cleaning featured it (kzbin.info/www/bejne/imapaIekYrx3pqc). Looks like something you could use cleaning out these nasty pools, and hoses long enough to keep the vac on the ground without shuffling it in and out of the pool. There's a debris bin inside so you can dump it out when it fills up, and a drain valve to release the water without the debris. It's so gross the stuff you get to at the bottom of these pools sometimes. At least this one still had leaves instead of a science experiment gone wrong.
