Looks great. Does the pattern come with a lining pattern? Unlined leather coats are hard on the clothes under the coat.

yeah I would appreciate some tips about adding lining too! I have a leather jacket where the lining is now so torn that it's almost nonexistent, but my clothes seem to be fine with it. However, my jacket is made out of chrome tanned leather that's quite supple. I think that when I buy this pattern I should be able to grab my old sewing/patternmaking books and design a lining pattern for it, I'd just have no idea how to sew it in 😂

Coming back to this to say that I used the original pattern for the jacket as the pattern for a flannel liner, and so far it's going very well. Line the fabric up with pattern exactly, and with the areas where the leather is to be rolled over it gives you the perfect amount of extra for sewing. So if you follow the pattern exactly, you won't need to cut out that extra 1/2" for the seam. (If that makes sense)

appears to be an oil tanned leather. Tandy Leather carries a line called "Kodiak Oil-Tan". It's what I'll be using when I make my jacket.
