Greg, thank you so much. This means a lot, as I work to continue to get out of my comfort zone.

I've tied my own files for about 30 yrs. Beautiful pattern you tied. Question? If you can't determine what's hatching what kind of fly should you select? Where I fish it's sometimes hard to select the appropriate fly.

Great question. I have found the right fly is often the fly I have the most confidence in that is the correct size and profile of the flies I am seeing. Often times a good attractor such as a Humpy, Royal Coachman, Parachute Adams, or Purple Haze produces better during hatches. My best advice is not second guess yourself, and search for a pattern that is similar in size and silhouette profile.

I like most the patterns you tie, but I'm no longer tying my own flies. Are these patterns, as you tie them, available commercially?

Gene, this is like one of the highest compliments a person can give someone else. This means a great deal, thank you. I am working to get some of them produced, but as of right now we only have a small select few patterns for sale on our website here .moonlitflyfishing.com/collections/flies
