starve an engine of fuel so it breaks sooner is the companies repeat business model XD. The carb, with the header and filer probably still run richer than stock. Idk if the additional torque on the parts is offset by the engine running richer in this instance, so no clue if this makes the engine mod more reliable having the rest stock and governed. Anyways great video with real world results, almost a 25% top speed gain with just a carb and intake swap.

Thanks ! I'm happy you like the channel . When I first put it together I think it had a 58 or so on there. But that was to much gear for the 3hp to pull so I bumped it up to a 66 with the stock Coleman clutch . I'm pretty sure it's an 11 tooth clutch .

I got 45 miles an hour out of the same Engine with stock ported carburetor and drilling out the side jet because they don't really have a removable jet and the stock carb. But the bike and engine looks sweet. I'm definitely going to pick up one of those carburetors though a lot less work and headache

Oh sweet!The Coleman bikes are fun. I would like to have another 3 horse cc100x . I know what your talking about . I drilled out the jet on the stock carb too. I cant remember for sure but I don't think I got it into the 40's until I added the slide carb. Ya, I love that carb on that thing. It made a big difference.

We've got the stock carb on the same 3hp motor. We're experiencing a leak between the carb and gasket and spacer every time we warm the engine up for say 20 minutes of riding. I've tried replacing the gaskets and tightening (afraid to go too far with the tightening as I don't want to strip those bolts). Do you know if this is a common problem? I'm wondering if the plastic carb spacer is warping when it gets hot or something.

I’m having trouble tuning this carb. I live at sea level and i tried doing the idle and mixture screw and it bogs around 4100 RPM. I think 1 problem is that i didn’t gasket match the gasket between the intake manifold to the head. Do you know how you would tune this carb?

Adjust the cable in the slide so that it comes up part of the way. That way you only get part throttle.

Make sure there aren’t any leaks anywhere between the carb and manifold and the manifold the engine . Make sure it’s getting plenty of fuel .

That’s the same scenario for me. I bought one of these and around 4000-4300 RPM it bogs real bad. I didn’t gasket match the intake manifold to the cylinder head gasket very well so that could be a problem. I tried tuning the carb itself by only the idle and fuel mixture screw. still didn’t work.

Yes, Gearing will do it. Along with the usual speed parts. Its not gonna be a rocket ship, but you can make it faster.
