Is a 212-powered mini bike as quick as a QS120 e-bike?
Changed out the gear ratio on the Tillotson 212e-powered Doodlebug minibike to see if I could get the bike to run quicker than the Predator 212-powered Coleman cc100x minibike and the QS120-powered Mega Moto 80/105 minibike.

Very cool actually documenting your results. I respect that. Most guys just want the end results posted up. If i may, redo this same test with your gasoline engine using the 7.5 gear ration along with a Premier Titian clutch. Bet it knocks off half sec from that 2.96 you got from that set up.

Will you compare Kunray,QS90,QS120 to ECP4 with same battery and then maybe swap controllers to see if there is any gains or losses. That would be so informative for me and make me have 100% faith in what I am gonna order Next. I currently have a Kunray that I push to 9Kw with a custom Benjamin Vedder VESC 105v/400A all water-cooled. Thanks for all your time helps so much!! Peace symbol down!

Does that chain guard prevent the clutch bolt from going into your foot? It’s what happened to me.. trying to figure out a solution to protect myself from the exposed clutch

The peak torque on the engine is probably around 3500 to 4000 rpm. Your clutch needs a higher stall speed so you can launch closer to the peak torque. You can hear the engine bog down as the clutch engages and it takes a second for it to come back up on power. Or you can swap to a Bully disc clutch with a high stall. Either way, the clutch is preventing the gas powered bike from going quicker to 30 mph.

I think you should just retard cam timing just a little bit too. Hit the power band earlier with the same motor. It should be good.👌🏽

Of course an e bike will accelerate faster, the gas powered bike has to 1 have the pump move more fuel 2 it has to spray said fuel 3 wait for the piston and everything timing 4 burn the fuel and control the burn 5wait for the burn to turn the the gear conected to the chain 6 take out the slack in the chain 7 rotate the tire, on the ebike everything happens at the speed of electricity dramaticly cutting down the time anything needs to ramp up (wich isnt a lot) and then the motor turns the tire directly in most cases
