Man, for 1997, this game was hella cinematic. Everything from the voice acting, to the epic music, boss encounters, and just the overall presentation and feel of the game, this game had such a presence to it. Part of what made me love it so much. Favorite line in this whole game: *"I CAN'T BELIEVE I LOST TO THIS SCUUUUM!!"*

The controls were really tight, but the environments, even when I bought the game when it came out, didn't impress me except for the Independence day mothership level.
@theobserver42145 жыл бұрын
Duncan Van Ooyen The voice acting also surprised me since many Japanese games around 1995-1997 (even into 1998) had bad dubs. Star Fox 64 sounds pretty good in comparison.
@TRJ22419875 жыл бұрын
I remember reading that the only American voice Miyamoto and the Japanese team ended up not liking was the voice of Bill, but I remember them saying that they enjoyed playing the version of the game with Japanese Text but American Voices. I've never played the JPN version of the game, but I assume that is a build/ROM that has never been released to the public.

@@Cyrx686 The fact you can change your story route during gameplay dynamicly with diferent actions, fully voiced characters with perfect feeling to the story, there's even some roguelike aspects to it, since everytime you play it its gonna be different and there's things to look out for, such as crew member's HP and things like that. I still remember when i passed that mission in that planet where Bill shows up, "Accomplyshed" it, and then he showed up later, not doing much, but he was there Things like that don't just show up on your mind when you're making a game, its like features you do for love, or with great creativity

@@CellarDoorx06 Not to be a dick, but "Mission Accomplished" is when you complete a level _and_ meet the requirements to advance to a harder route.
